Choosing a Pipe for a beginner
I seem to be late to this thread - however, I want to add my 2 cents. Having tried the "corn cob" route didn't work out for me. The reason isn't because corn cobs don't smoke well or anything, they smoke quite well; the idea of saving money to try out pipe tobacco also extended itself into not... -

February 2011 - What are you smoking? II
Just enjoyed some My Mixture 965 by Dunhill for the first time in my brand new Lorenzo Spitfire. That is a very full bodied smoke, smooth, with a tiny bit of spice. I enjoyed every puff and would definitely buy more tins of it. Word to the wise - it is not for a new smoker, it is VERY heavy.- onizuka
