    Iconic Movies that Disappoint.

I read Fairy Tale a couple of months ago, and your statement actually makes so much sense to me now. The first part of the book had a King-ish feel to it, while the second part did not feel like any of the novels he had written before, and I've 38 of his novels on my bookshelf currently.

    Iconic Movies that Disappoint.

The Stand is actually one of my favorite King books as well, the expanded edition is great BUT the TV adaptations of it were big ole steaming mugs of hot trash. The original one, filmed in the early 90s, has a star studded cat, but even then they took huge liberties with the story and the new...

    Choicest Plugs

If KBV comes out with another batch, their Tavern Plug is very tasty, although it is made with whole leaves, it is more of a loose plug/kake type press, but delicious none the less.

East India Trading Company’s “Officer's Club”

Of the three, I actually found Officer's Club to be the lightest while Cellar Reserve was much bolder, even with the aromatic topping of rum and spices. Word of forewarning to anyone interested in trying them, they make Gawith tin moisture look like the Sahara. They may even have Molte Dolce...

East India Trading Company’s “Officer's Club”

I believe Gurkha is responsible for that line. Edit to add: Double checked, yes it is a Gurkha brand. Russ O developed the blend for them and its blend by K. Hansotia & Co, the mother company of Gurkha.

    How to Re-Hydrate Pipe Tobacco

I'll second this method, although it is advisable to make sure the pot you use did not contain your wife's flowers moments before being broken and stuck in your tobacco jar. RAW (the weed company) sells terra cotta discs that work really well also. I use them in my forever jar of tobacco scraps.

    Fiebing's On A Cob?

Hence why the alcohol one is okay, it dries quickly, the water based ones take forever and a day to dry.

My choice as well, although, we call them bear sign here.

    Fiebing's On A Cob?

You'll be fine. That's what I do to my cobs as well, when I want a darker finish, as long as it is not water based version of fiebings, the alcohol one stays put very well.

Stain Coming Off On My Hands

The only thing I could think to do to slow down the stain transfer would be to wax the bowl with either carnuba or renaissance wax. The carnuba is all natural, so it will break down over time, the renaissance is petroleum based and will need some time to cure, but it will last a long time. My...

    20% Off Peterson Tobacco @ pipesandcigars.com

Not to derail this thread, but it's most likely because of the cash back or rewards aspect of those cards. We have made the decision at my shop to not take rewards cards because the retailer is the one that gets hit with those fees. And those fees add up on a car repair pretty quickly. Loosing...

    20% Off Peterson Tobacco @ pipesandcigars.com

Placed my order on the 18th. The brown truck santa dropped it off a few minutes ago. Everything accounted for, was able to not only get OGS and Flake on sale, but snagged $100 in p&c cash as well. Got my pound of Fusiler's Ration Special Reserve for those cold winter nights and a tin of Best...

Hello All! New Pipe Smoker and Craftsman

Welcome from Nebraska. I see that Mr. Brog sells a pipe made from ash, so it is most likely not toxic. I wonder about the longevity of an ash pipe though. https://mrbrog.com/products/mr-brog-tobacco-pipe-model-no-308-madoline-natural-grain-hand-made-from-top-quality-ash-woodblock

    Resting a Pipe

There are so many differing opinions on this, you could probably write a graduate thesis on it. At the end of the day, I think there is no definitive answer. Pipe smoking is something personal, so you need to find what suits your needs the best. I've gotten quite deep into restoring estate...
