Newbie discovery - smoking two tobaccos simultaneously
I've thought about doing this because I have trouble remembering the taste of one English to compare with another. Some of the differences seem subtle. Some aren't. I tend to like them all - but which to stock is hard to decide.- maxx

Benefits of Nicotine
Excellent article. Packed with links to research. Bookmarked it. I first read in 1982 of a positive effect of nicotine in Steven Rose's book The Conscious Brain. It mimics acetylcholine. Cellaring in Earnest

Savinelli - Fuoco - Giuseppe Arcimboldo
Those two shapes are absolutely top picks for me from Savinelli. I've got the Rossi version of their 616 arriving tomorrow. I don't care for filtered pipes and wish Savinelli wouldn't offer some designs only filtered. -

Filtered vs. Non-Filtered pipes.
I avoid filtered Briars. There are some Savinellis I like that seem to be only available filtered, but I won't buy them. When I was interested in Cobs, I got a couple with filters and I used half a pipe cleaner doubled over as a replacement.
