    What Are Meers For?

In my experience Meers are for breaking :( But at $15 I would definitely call that a steal!

Samuel Gawith Scrapped There Old Machinery?

What a great find! Adding this to my playlist of stuff to watch whilst pipe smoking.

    What are You Watching?

I'm making my way through Rawhide! Hell of a show, you've got young Clint Eastwood and Eric Fleming, not to mention a whole host of great side characters. There's even a few pipe smokers that show up throughout the series! I'd recommend it to anyone that enjoys a good western

About Parcel Forwarding Services and Tobacco

I've never picked out and used a specific service for shipping goods like that, but one of my bosses in the vape industry used to mark packages and shipping orders with "sample product not for sale/resale" which did make it's way through most customs issues with shipping to countries outside the...

    What About Hand Feel?

Oh man I used to copyright for similar luxury products and "hand feel" was one of my favorite bullshit descriptors to throw in there and fill out a listing. Is it heavy? Is it smooth? Is it easy to grip? Is it cool metal? Is it soft or hard? Literally any one of these things could fit the...

Does Perique Add Anything Other Than Spice?

I've never actually had a blend from D&R but that seems like a fine one to try, now to wait for it to be in stock in less than a 16oz bag, thanks for the suggestion!

Does Perique Add Anything Other Than Spice?

Man I never believed that whole "spicy" descriptor until I tried a heavy perique blend and I gotta say it works with some things but definitely not a regular smoker for me! I haven't come across this fruity/figgy version though, anybody have a source for a good blend of it?

    Creative Briar Pipes

Looks like a great deal to me! Where did you find such a unique piece?

How Long Does Tobacco Stay Fresh

Welp I live in the Desert so I get about 3 months out of an opened tin. Of course I put most of it into Jars for longer term storage, once it's in a jar all you need is some Boveda packets and your Tobacco will last as long as you want it to!

    Famous Living Pipe Smokers

James May from Top Gear! They all did a segment on the show about Porsche pipes and I spotted him smoking one of them on his YT Channel

    Churchwardens

See I love the idea of a churchwarden pipe but for the price of those Auenlands, and they are tempting, but at that level I'd rather spend 100 more or so and have a custom job. Plus I'd really like a convertible one with two stems so I can use it as a normal pipe, and those HCA ones just don't...

    VHS Beta Briar

I'll throw my recent finds in , there's a full playlist of old school tobacco commercials on the Tube HERE!

    McClelland Mini Reviews

Great review man! Nice and succinct flavor descriptions, I hate reading tobacco reviews and seeing 10+ flavor descriptors thrown at a tobacco blend because the author just keeps throwing words at it to try and sound intelligent.

Got a Strange Meerschaum, Any Ideas on ID?

So looking at the joint between the two spheres I don't think this was carved from one piece given the gaps. Or if it was, it has since been broken and repaired as indicated by discoloration around the connections.

    Best Pipe/Drink Combo.

Cogniac or Diplomatico Reserva with Banane Du Bresil on the rocks, or a Gin Mule. Both go great in the hot tub with a nice pipe!

Got a Strange Meerschaum, Any Ideas on ID?

Fascinating! That's almost half the weight. Is one of those block or pressed meerschaum? I wonder if pressed is lighter than block....... never really thought about that.

What's the Deal with Bowl Coatings?

I think, as many have stated, the coating is so you don't have to worry about the possibility of a burnout while you're getting your carbon layers built up to form a proper cake. Do you need a coating? Not really, it's more of an added protection and the risk of burnout is rare even without...

Got a Strange Meerschaum, Any Ideas on ID?

Not particularly, it's white in the spots where it's chipped and if I do the sticky test on the inside of the bowl it is a bit tacky, but nowhere near as much as my carved meer. The other thing I should say is that it's much heavier than that carved meer which is almost identical in size if not...

Got a Strange Meerschaum, Any Ideas on ID?

Hey all, I wasn't shopping for this pipe but it happened to be in a lot that I got and I'm a bit curious about it since there's no markings to my eye. I've posted an album at the bottom with every angle. I've never seen a pipe in this style/shape before so any info on possible dating or (long...

When Peterson's Is On Their Game, You Get This

I just got my first Peterson a few weeks ago and I have a love/hate relationship with it. It took a few tries to get the pipe shape I wanted without any flaws on it, which was a bit annoying, but the good folks at SP took care of everything. I love the design, the size, the shape, the fact...
