    Really well. I took acetone to the finish, and discovered a "spongey" looking part of the briar, that was hidden in the shellac they use. But other than aesthetics, and the really wide stem, it smokes really well. My heaviest pipe, and the lightest clenching pipe.

    I've never counted the nicotines from any cigarette, cigar or pipe. How does the government do it? Then, to make it less do they squeeze the nicotines out?
