Got 2 boys myself. Mr. Boots and Squeak. Squeak is a feral Kitten that I saved by giving him my garage over the winter. His brothers and sisters were killed by the neighbor next door. Her and her husband killed 20 of my cats over the years. They shoot them with BB guns. A BB gun is like a .22...

Serving my Country was Honor beyond words. Thank you for your service as well Sir.
I have only 2 Meers. Can't find them in the house. Their smaller pipes. My wonderful wife bought them for me 35 years ago. Their small faces with the turbans.
That amazes me. The quality workmanship that went into these pipes. I'm speechless.
I wish I could find the same USMC pipe, but USN instead. I'm a 13 year USN Viet Nam vet.
Great collection and the photo quality is appreciated.
Yes, I'd listen in if the topic interest's me. I listen to a couple Pod casts of different subjects. Pipes and tobaccos, cleaning and different subject related topics would be worth spending an hour or so. You'd have to have different points of view to hold my attention. I hate it when the pod...
I hate Cigarette smoke period. I enjoy fine hand rolled cigars from time to time and love my pipes. But, even pipe tobaccos have their stinky blends. I can tell if I light my pipe in the house then leave and them come back later and the house stinks, I never order that blend again. It's a cheap...
For $2500.00, I could buy a Suzuki 250 motorcycle and have transportation. I just couldn't justify that amount for any pipe. It's a fine looking piece of workmanship, but $2500.? really?
I can tell a religious pipe smoker by how clean his pipes are. These are instruments, not a tool. Instruments get taken care of, tools get abused. It makes me sad when I see estate pipes in bad condition. The smoker didn't love his pipes as much as we do. My pipes give me happiness throughout my...
Doesn't look like the previous owner was very clean when it came to his pipes. The tobacco taste must have been awful. No way I'd stick that in my mouth without some serious reworking.
If you have to puff a lot, your pack in the bowl is to loose. Tamp the tobacco down a little more and sip it easy.
That makes the bowl full last a little longer to. As far as the moisture goes, that largely depends on the humidity of the day as well. Many factor's cause moisture to condensate...
hello my friends, greetings from Minnesota. I have been smoking a pipe off an on now since I was in high school. I'm 65 years old now so that tells you that I'm not new to pipes. Had about 35 pipes burned in the fire, destroyed them all so now I'm rebuilding my collection. I have about 35 pipes...
I experienced that situation myself. I usually have 6 bowls a day at the most. All six bowls are different. The tongue burners I limit to one bowl per sitting.
I found when I brush my teeth, I also brush my tongue and then use mouthwash followed by water. The next day the tongue burn is gone...
Seattle Pipe Club's blends are just plain good. Seattle Evening is a relaxing smoke. I smoke maybe 2 bowls then go on to something just as good. I like to make them last and age a little.
You be the judge. I like my blends on the dryer side than moist. I like to get my tobacco out of there tins and into jars that have some space for air. It allow's the tobacco to breath and dry some. The flavor seems much better in a week after that transfer.
Glad I read this post. I was about to order a tin of Montford Point Marine. It sounded good in the description but I sure don't need to raise my blood pressure with the Nicotine buzz. That's why you get light headed. I hate blends that make me dizzy.
