    Empty tins ....

I used to toss mine, but my daughter-in-law found that people will pay money for them in yard sales and flea markets. I have no idea why. But I guess folks want them for some reason. My granddaughters made a survival kit that fits in a 200 gram tin. But you can only make some many of...

    Dunhill 4103

I won an auction on eBay and the pipe just came home. An '84 Dunhill Cumberland with gold bands. I absolutely fell in love with this pipe when I saw it on-line and had to have it. The color is a light brown matching the Cumberland stem just perfectly. I usually give an estate pipe the royal...

    Dent removal

I've never tried this on a pipe but it works great for gun stocks. It's the same idea as what eaglerico suggested. Take a wet washcloth and cover the wood, press a hot iron on it over the dent. You know, the iron your mom/wife uses to press your shirts.

A Wee Case of Vintage TAD

I think I'd be 'gifting' a pair of my old, aged hunting socks before I'd give away any of those tins!

    Flea Market Find

rothnh is right. That little hatchet is used to split lighter'd pine (fatwood) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatwood at the stove. It only takes a couple slivers to start a fire of hard wood. My grandmother used to have one in the kitchen. I use a draw knife to cleanup hides for tanning...

Help dating and analyzing this 4103 Dunhill bamboo

Dunhill did make that very pipe style early in this century (2000). The markings are hard to see in the photo's. I'd have someone look at it though as something doesn't look just right about it.

    Confessions of a addict.....

I believe that your pipe is much older than 20 years..... That packaging and leaflets look to have come from the 70's to me. Welcome to the forums!
