    Taxes, Shipping Orders & Such

I understand the rules of this site, but I can still give you my opinion on tax without breaking the law. The law of demand states that there is an inverse relationship between quantity demand and its price, that is, all else being equal, as the price of a product increases, the quantity...

    Taxes, Shipping Orders & Such

How is evading tax, that is, preventing a bunch of crooks from stealing some % of your personal income, breaking the law? This is the world upside down. I do personally try to avoid paying for any tax when I can, and I do encourage other people to do it as well. Of course, after reading the...

    UK Dutty Tax on Tobacco

The whole point to make here is that without tax, according to the laws of demand, more business would be created, therefore, state government is bad for the economy.

    UK Dutty Tax on Tobacco

According to the laws of demand, this is not true. Lets say, for example, that something costs $5 and that the costumer is happy to pay $5 for it. If you increase this price, according to the laws of demand, production will decrease as less costumers will be willing to pay for the extra money...

    UK Dutty Tax on Tobacco

And who the hell are they to tell me what I can and cannot do in victimless crime cases? Am I property of the state? Who says life was never intended to be fair? Like I said before, taxes are a burden on the producer, not on the consumer, so it hinders economic recovery as a whole. It seems like...

    UK Dutty Tax on Tobacco

It must be very easy for you to say that since you live in the US. What you don't take into account in your argument is the fact the higher prices will lower demand, and this in turn will affect the economy of producers as a whole. On the other hand, government should not steal money from people...

Why We Like What We Like

I like heavily rusticated chunky pipes. This is one of my last purchases from Rick Briar pipes.

    UK Dutty Tax on Tobacco

The law of demand states that there is an inverse relationship between quantity demand and its price, that is, all else being equal, as the price of a product increases, the quantity demanded falls, and as the price decreases, the quantity demanded increases. This table shows the mechanics of...

How to Fill up Your Pipe like a Pro

This method is just great. The whole idea is to make your bowl burn from the inside/centre out as to avoid the ambers be in touch with the inner walls of your pipe. If you pack your pipe like this, the ambers will propagate outwards right from the centre/middle of your bowl. This is to make the...

How to Fill up Your Pipe like a Pro

I have tried so many filling methods so far, but there is no one like my own, that is, the "Soler-Sanz" method. If you want to smoke your pipe to a white ash and avoid throwing away your dottle, just follow my instructions. Fill up the first 1/3 of your bowl by dropping tobacco in it without...

Thanks you for this, but this has already been posted.

    Burnt Rims and Wanton Violence

I quite agree. The person behind that... (well, I don't know what that is), does not seem to love cooking that much. This is how you end up with tummy ache, get sick, etc. Here, the person's malcontent is thereby passed onto you by means of their labour. I had a carpenter made me a table once...

    Beard Oil: What Is It?

Yes, but the whole point is to make your beard more manageable so that it'll be easier to comb, brush, etc. By the way, this link might help if you guys mean to make your own beard oil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj0nB_R4IoM

    Beard Oil: What Is It?

I've always wanted to try some on, but I don't know where to source it in the UK. I think this belongs to Jay Dagner: https://www.facebook.com/PortlandBeardCompany?fref=ts

So what is a Balkan Blend?

A Balkan blend is an English blend that contains Latakia, Oriental/Turkish and Virginia tobaccos. This is to say that not all tobaccos from the Balkan area are Balkan blends, nor the tobacco used in them have to be grown in this part of the world. As a matter of fact, if we are go by the book...

    I damaged my new pipe

This happened to me once me at a slow smoking competition. I completely burnt the bottom of the bowl, but I came out 7th in the competition. I did not care though as the pipe given to me was only meant for the event, but I would've loved to keep it as a memento.

    De Luxe Navy Rolls

I personally love any Dunhill blend, but I guess this is all down to your personal preferences. Why don't you try Royal Yacht, which is a Virginia based tobacco (no Latakia) and tell me what you think?
