Thanks, Crimson Clark does seem to be a straight out guy and I'm looking forward to meeting him in Chicago at the show

Note From Kevin on Post Editing

I may be the only one, but posting pictures has always been a challenge for me. Sometimes I can redo all of my pics within 10 minutes, I guess. I never timed the procedure. I get the whole edit thing when someone is devious and trying to embarrass someone else. Gee, I must be very naive...

    Clark Layton Commission

After the mention of the high grade of workmanship of Clark Layton experienced by several members of the forum, and then viewing his work on line, I just had to commission one from him. I am a bent fan, as you can see. Here are the pictures he has sent me so far: This is the first drawing, but...

NY PIpe Show - 2015 - Now: Pictures!

Very easy for the local, but I will need to work that day. In addition, I'm trying to save myself for Chicago. Not really doing a great job with the non PAD discipline.

Pipe Tobacco Sugar Content and Diabetes

I have been insulin dependent for close to forty years now and I can say that what I eat daily has everything to do with blood sugar control (along with activity). If there is any change regarding change in blood sugars regarding nicotine, it is unnoticeable to me.

    Greatest Tobacco I've Ever Tasted

To be sure, penzance is a fine tobacco, and thanks to Troutface I have quite a bit Much has been written on the forum regarding its being overpriced and over hyped. Maybe it is, and there is no question that there are many English blends that are comparable. Nate, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

    New Acquisition: Ewe Jopp

I can't remember any posts about Jopp on the forum. Maybe I missed them Lou: sometimes you get lucky and find a newer lesser known pipe carver before the word is out. I'm very impressed at his detail and quality of workmanship at such a reasonable price

    New Acquisition: Ewe Jopp

Last Tuesday night the monthly meeting of the NYC Pipe Club was held and I was firmly in the camp of "no pipes tonight". However, this pipe just called to me...It was bent, very very light, about 5 1/2 inches long and made by a relatively unknown carver from Dresden, Germany, who I and my friend...

    One month ago today...

Bernie That is a beautifully organized picture. I could use of that OCD stuff in my life. If you stay with this hobby, PAD will come quickly enough, followed by TAD if that doesn't hit you first.

    Please explain "Transitional Barling".

Mike They both actually came to me in pretty good condition, but it could also just be the luck of the draw. I will mention that I have 3 'real' pre-transition Barlings that allow me to give this company the respect it deserves. To me, there is a difference.

    Please explain "Transitional Barling".

I'm at work now so I can't absolutely say if they are Barling or Barlings. No matter which way it was written, I was informed that they were pre transition, and trusted the sellers. Hey, Caveat Emptor.

Any Remedy for a Bent Pipe that Will Not Pass a Pipe Cleaner?

First I'd like to suggest the 'Falcon" pipe cleaner. It is extremely narrow compared to a standard cleaner, say a Brigham or BJ Longs. I think I'm going to disagree with several of you folks on the issue of the non importance of a pipe cleaner passing all the way through the pipe without...
