    Nice, so the gaiwan is a small pot where the tea is brewed which is then poured into a larger pitcher. But how are the leaves filtered out? Using the lid?

    Thank you for the comments. What I mean is a generic black tea you might commonly find in tea bags, for instance Bigelow.
