Restricted Item and EBay Global Shipping

I hate that Global Shipping Program. I'm pretty set up as far as pipes go off eBay now. I'll buy from those who don't use that service. Some are forced to though, which ties the seller's hands. I remember hearing that some well established sellers were extorted into using the Global Shipping...

Gawith & Hoggarth Dark Virigina Cavendish (Unscented)

Just came back from sitting outside - just to get outside! I grabbed my John Calich billiard and loaded her up with some Gawith Hoggarth Dark Virginia Cavendish. I've had this in a jar for quite a number of years; I had to look it up on Tobaccoreviews.com to get the gist of what I was in for...

    Wessex Pipes

I can tell you that they are fantastic smoking pipes. They have a hand-cut Cumberland stem on them and they really are superb smokers. They were around $55.00 (a great deal) when my pipe mentor and I bought ours. Here is a Canadian version of the pipe for you to see.

Gurgling - What is the Culprit?

Sometimes in addition to using a pipe cleaner to wick away excess moisture, I gently 'tap' the bottom of the pipe on my knee a few times and this causes the condensation to settle or dissipate enough to get rid of the gurgle. I've never slung my pipe; that is new to me, sounds interesting.

Anyone Have any John Calich PIpes?

I have two in my pipe bag as I write this....I have a couple of his earlier pipes "Seconds" as well. They are great smokers for sure!

    Favorite Italian Pipes

Very nice pipes Gentlemen.....what about Le Nuvole? The one I have is an outstanding smoker. A "one cloud" grade; rusticated, but I have a feeling it would have been a higher grade if it remained smooth. Tight and dense grain on it. Light as feather. Maurizio does great work. I think it's...

    Le Nuvole Pipes

I have two Le Nuvoles now. They belonged to my friend who passed away. One was unsmoked and the other I sent off to get spruced up and cleaned. Here's the link to that one. It should be here in the next day or two..... The other one I have is a bean pot shaped 3 cloud. They're really nice pipes...

Fantastic post, thank you. I'm in Ottawa and whenever I'm in Montreal I hit that store every time. You really can't go wrong with a Blatter pipe.
