What Are You Smoking? June 2013

Tonight I'm relaxing in pipe bliss: Rotating between bowls of Anni Kake, Escudo and 7 Seas 10 year old Ferreira Porto And a friend whom I've introduced to pipe smoking showing me his beginner collection, asking my advice and shooting the shit.

    Cellared Tobacco and "Breathing'

This is another one of those areas dictated by personal preference, pipinho. Personally I feel that some do, some less than others. My own habits usually have me with an opened rotation of around 20 blends, so some will air more just due to that; looking over my logs I tend to smoke through...

    New Box Pass Thread

Also, as you can see, that's a year-long list if everyone sticks to the two week hold. I highly encourage you all to do your best to hold it for as short a time as possible. I know it's exciting to have a ginormous box with umpteen million baggies in it, but it's more useful when it gets to more...

Pipes, Tobacco & Smoking in China

Great read, and another vote for a series of the state of smoking in other countries. I, too, found that when I was living and traveling in SEA the idea of a pipe was as foreign as Mars to the locals; when hanging out with the consulate crowd, however, my pipe was well appreciated.

Here's an Accessory You Should Have - Smoking Hot Smoking Jackets

I chatted with the folks from Smoky Joe's at Chicago and tried on the jackets, and let me tell you--they're cool, comfortable, and damn impressive. A bit flashier than a traditional blazer, true, but not so outrageous that you can't cool them down with the rest of your outfit. And seriously...

    GLPease Cairo Review

Awesome thread necromancy, there  @roth-- Maybe yes on "the tobacco in an "open tin" improves after a week or two." I do find that blends often benefit from airing out a bit, just as wine does. It sometimes depends on just how long it's been sitting in a tin, too; some really old blends...

Can't Find Peterson's Summer Time Blend of 2012

Pete's seasonal blends are generally highly anticipated, and available in limited quantities. The real caveat is that they're generally delayed until the season after their labeling; i.e., the Summer blend usually arrives in the early Autumn, and the holiday blend sometime after the new year.
