***What Are You Smoking, February 2021?***

Haunted Bookshop as a 1st smoke in a 1950 Dunhill Bruyere Patent Bulldog. This tobacco seems to be a slam dunk in any pipe I stuff it in. Pipe is smoking like a dream

New to Me 1950 Dunny Bruyere Bulldog

Just received this 1950 Dunhill Bruyere Patent Bulldog from Dave Neeb. His pictures (nor, do mine) don’t reflect the actual condition of this pipe. This is, by far, my oldest pipe and I’m thrilled with its condition. Chamber is pretty much perfect. The weight and balance are spot on...

***What Are You Smoking, February 2021?***

It certainly led me to try EGR and now it’s my favorite morning smoke, when I get one. It will always be in my “rotation” and many of us are thankful for your efforts to keep it alive. It is, literally, the only blend I will smoke with Latakia and I hate that stuff!

    Any Advice? Killer Tongue Bite

I have the utmost respect for Jim and his recommendations, and have had great conversations with him, but I do disagree with this statement. The man has a buffalo leather tongue after all his years of smoking and this does not apply to people like me who only smoke 1 or 2 bowls a day and...

    Fanboy of Jack Howell Pipes

I am currently on Jesse Jones list but have over a year to go, based on his initial availability. Another maker I've been lurking on is Clark Layton, because he has a reputation of engineering and smoke-ability design over aesthetics, although his pipes are beautiful. The only thing that has...

    Fanboy of Jack Howell Pipes

For crying out loud, why do so start roaming around different forums. I looked at this thread an hour ago. Sent an email to Jack and now I’m commissioning a pipe from him....

Had to look that up. We have a retaining wall on our property that has a few Free Mason markings on it.

Popped a tin of MacBaren Vanilla Flake last night and let it chill till this morning. This is quite good and nothing like sweet aros I’ve tried in the past. One flake rubbed out and smoking in my Frank Thunder Poker.
