Photos Of 19th Century Briar Pipes?

Interesting, the old silver bands look different from the modern ones. Almost round, like the army mount. Therefore I wasn't sure. Did most of the pipes back then have such silver bands? Looks like they were very common.

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

Guys, many thanks for your suggestions. Seems that the French pipe makers have indeed small pipes. Found quiet a few from Chacom and will probably get one. They have the "Lizon" line, which are small , but longer pipes with a silver band and the "Plume line", which are small classic pipes...

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

Thank you. But there are no much pipes to choose from in that size therethe classic billiard style. The closest that it gets is a Butz Choquin. Now compare it to the options for bigger bowls.

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

Its not very common nowadays. Most pipes are midium to large (Group size 4) But I would be happy if you can refer me to examples of well proportioned modern small pipes. That's basically the original reason for the tread

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

If you compare various Dunhill group size 2 pipes, you will see that the measurments are mor or less the same. Now obviously you wont find exact same pipe length and bowl height for pipes of other makers, but again, it will have more or less simillar proportions. So if somebody speaks about a...

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

Group Size is very often used as reference point for size of the pipe. Nobody expecting it to be exact. Its more or less to get an understanding. You could also be more fruendly/civilised in your replies.

Alternatives to Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Tobacco in Europe?

I would like to taste Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Tobacco , but it seems it is not sold in Europe, but only in US. Is there some sort of equivalent that can be bought in the EU? Ordering from US is not an option, because of all the customs trouble.
