Great Compliment! In 40 years, June has never complained about my tobacco, and almost all are non-aero. She only asks that I don't lite-up inside first thing in the morning.- topd

Meerschaum Advice
Some fellas like to totally clean their brier pipes after every smoke... take them apart, Everclear, scrub brushes, the works. I almost never disassemble my meerschaum's, only running a pipe cleaner or two down the stem to the bowl. Then wiping out the inside with a doubled over pipe cleaner...- topd

Early Bird Club
Morning! I'm usually awake early, but don't check mail and the forum until after June is up and we have our morning coffee/visit. Then I go out front with the pups while she's getting ready for work, then lite my first bowl. I smoke inside, but not first thing in the morning.... Have a Good...- topd

Do Meerschaum pipes need to rest
I smoke a meerschaum bowl after bowl (cooling and cleaning between smokes), but after you feel a slight heaviness (weight from retaining water/condensation) let it rest for several days.- topd
