    The glory that is Sixpence

Skywalker, that was also my impression on the first bowl I tried, except it never got better for me. About a month later I had another bowl, and it was better, but no earth-changing transformation for me. I just attributed it to my particular tastes. I am meaning to try another bowl since it's...

PAX Tobacco Crawl With Russ Ouellette

One more post for CBK before the El Nino hits. I have had CBK for a couple of years. I have two or three 8 oz. tins of it. This is such good stuff. It is one of my favorites. I like burley, and this is the best that I have tasted. I'm not familiar with anise so I'm not sure that I tasted that or...

    Edgeworth Ready Rubbed:

Mr. Wortzel, I want to thank you that Lane will be producing the Edgeworth RR again. Having said that, is there a chance that the sliced version would also at some time be reproduced as well? I am guessing that it would be just as popular as the ready rubbed. Any idea on that?

    Hello Again- Long Time

Good to see your post again, tarak. Congratulations on your new daughter, move, and new home. At least you haven't had to give up the pipe completely. Maybe just not as often as in the past. Whatever, I hope things continue to improve for you, and also to your new situation. BTW, what state do...

    Sutliff's Carl McAllister Retires Today.

What a great tribute, Russ. Am looking forward to the day when this blend comes out. Jim, thanks for letting us know of this important event in the pipe-smoking world. Carl, if you read this, congratulations on your well deserved retirement, and I hope you have many, many years to enjoy it...

So I Tried Deer Tongue (Crooner)

So Dan, do you use the stem, or the flower petals? That picture looks exactly like what has come up numerous times in the summer around one of our pecan trees. I don't remember any green leaf being on it, though I'd have to look closer next time it springs up

Sharing is Caring! :) I have an offer.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind trying some Stonehaven. Too bad it doesn't come in tins like Penzance. Eight ounces is a lot if you've never tried it, but it would be easy to trade or sell later on if one didn't care for it

    Edgeworth Sliced

Ok. Thanks for the thoughts. I saw a tin of Edgeworth RR at an antique store the other day, and at first I thought I wasn't going to catch my breath, but then I realized it was only an empty tin. Nice looking tin, though.

    Edgeworth Sliced

Seadog, have you had Solani Aged Burley, and if so, how would you compare to the Wessex Burley Slice?

    Baccy, Bourbon, and Chocolate

Anybody heard of Black Eagle, a brand of Kentucky Bourbon? It's a small batch bourbon a tad on the sweet side, no honey, and a bottle of 1.75ml is only around $20, at least at the store I get mine at. Pretty tasty too.

    Interesting List

I appreciate the quote by Paul Szabady, Escioe. I for one am one who is slowing learning to appreciate straight Virginias and vapers and what they have to offer, without the added toppings. But it has taken me two years to gradually come to taste some of the subtleties of the blends. Still a...
