***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

Just out of curiosity chap, do you have any idea how many bowls you have through this bugger?

    Decision on New Meerschaum

Yup, neither have I which is what is making me lean down the H. Cor/IMP path

    Decision on New Meerschaum

Good point. I’ll add that to the OP but I’m looking for something that will be a 30-40 min smoke and probably a 9mm pipe. I haven’t seen a lot of those from Tekin..

    Decision on New Meerschaum

As an early Christmas present to myself, I am going to buy a new meer however at this point I am torn between buying another IMP, a Tekin or a Huseyin Cor pipe. Looking for a pipe that will provide a 30-40 min smoke and be adapted for 9mm filters, like a lot of IMPs are. I have an IMP and it's...

The grain on that pipe is spectacular

***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

Happy Veterans day! My pops retired from the USCG about seven years ago, did 15 year in the Navy and 20 years in the USCG. Wife and I are buying a house and once that life event is over I plan to join the CG reserve.

Cracked a 5 year tin of Deluxe Navy Rolls in the IMP meer. This dang thing is a stubborn colorer

Best Esoterica/Germain’s Blends I Should Buy?

Depends on the topping, I do like a good aromatic so long as it’s actually a good one. Put a little color in my meer lol

Best Esoterica/Germain’s Blends I Should Buy?

My local B&M got a bunch in, practically everything except for BBF and want to see if I like any. Typically enjoy a good Va/Bur or some VaPers, particularly ones with Dark Fired. I do like Latakia but only in very small amounts. Any suggestions you’d make?

Smoking some Kendall Dark in the IMP at my home “office”. Really enjoying this blend. Weather finally dropped below 40 so this sun is a nice change of pace

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

They were delicious when I had them last night, might buy a few more and put some age on them

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

More like people hyped it up so much and when I smoked it it was horribly underwhelming. Sort of just tasted like spicy perique with a tiny hint of va.

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

That makes sense. Wish I could have tasted it back in the day. I think I need another tin of Deluxe Navy Rolls. Easily been five years since I last had a tin.

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

It’s also been a while since I tried those. I remember really disliking Escudo, not because it was bad, but just because it was ridiculously overhyped.

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

Update, I decided to have a few medallions tonight just to jog my memory. They are FANTASTIC, the Virginias are really what take center stage but the perique definitely adds a mouth feel to it and is noticeable on the retrohale. I’m going to buy a few more of these tins and let them age for a...

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

I remember what they taste similar to PS Bullseye Flake which I had just last week but but can't remember their own distinct notes.

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

Aging it is. Already cracked the tin but have Jared them up to age for a while.

Davidoff Flake Medallions: To Age Or Not To Age?

It’s been ages since I’ve last had Davidoff flake medallions but remember them being pretty similar to PS Luxury Bullseye Flake but a bit richer in flavor. Should I cellar this blend for a couple years or is it pretty good to go out of the tin? It’s been so long I can’t remember myself.
