AI Is Out To Destroy Your Pipes!

I am a data scientist by trade and education and specialize in AI and Machine Learning and let me tell you, it will be perfected some day and when it does, it will be terrifying and it is coming far sooner than anyone imagines. The only thing currently limiting it is legislation

AI Is Out To Destroy Your Pipes!

Well, seeing that AI only responds based on the data it can scrape from the web, train in a machine learning algorithm, connect the dots from unstructured data structures, and then vomit a response back, the answers its giving is really just bad answers that real people have posted on the internet.

    How much do you cellar?

I usually allocate $100-150 a month for tobacco orders. I have about 5 tobaccos I know that I like and could smoke all day everyday so I just stock up on that. I have probably about 30lbs of tobacco cellared up, more than I will smoke over the next ten years for sure since I only smoke about...

I Think I’m Finally Throwing in the Towel with Virginias

I don't even bother with VaPers. Its been years since I have tried a proper VaPer. Perique doesn't agree with my palate.

I Think I’m Finally Throwing in the Towel with Virginias

Orlik is the only VA that I can enjoy

I Think I’m Finally Throwing in the Towel with Virginias

The only other variable I have not tried is trying VA's without Perique. OGS was always my favorite VA blend and while it supposedly contains trace amounts of perique, it has been one of the few VA's I regularly enjoy. I haven't tried it in a year or so though as it is in my out of state...

I Think I’m Finally Throwing in the Towel with Virginias

Absolutely not, whatever I have in my cellar stays and will age. I will revisit in a few years.

I Think I’m Finally Throwing in the Towel with Virginias

I was a VA lover for many years but three years ago I suddenly lost my taste for VA. I remember one evening I was enjoying a delicious bowl of Scottish flake. The next afternoon on lunch I had another bowl of SF but it tasted terrible, like tar and burning plastic. Nothing changed either...

Washington Smoking Laws: Advice for Enjoying a Smoke?

I remember commuting on the bus to work a few years ago and this one bozo came and sat down next to me and starting smoking a rock. I told him to get the **** off the bus and he left… there’s a reason I left WA…

    Flavor Intensifying Throughout the Bowl?

I agree. When I smoke any type of VA blend I get a really rich flavor that reminds me something of freshly baked bread, a real malty savory flavor about 1/4- 1/2 through the bowl

    Flavor Intensifying Throughout the Bowl?

Am I the only one who feels the bowl gets more flavorful as it goes on? I’ve been struggling with tasting my tobacco lately but as I am trying to smoke more to retrain my palate, I’m noticing that the first 1/8-1/4 of the bowl tastes like hot air but as I go on the flavor builds more and I...

    New IMP Coloring Progress

No hijacking detected. That’s a beautiful pipe. Lattice is hands down my favorite. Honestly, I notice a massive increase in color if I smoking it hard and fast for a period of time then let it rest for a month and do it again.

    New IMP Coloring Progress

Another update, frankly I lost count but I think I’m around 275-300 bowls now. Color has darned significantly. While I haven’t been smoking much lately, the little smoking I do is almost exclusively in this guy.

    Losing My Taste For Tobacco

I’ve been in the same boat as well. About 3 years ago I was enjoying a tin of Robert McConnell Scottish Flake and one day, I suddenly lost taste. Ever since then pipes have just tastes like hot, spicy air. Occasionally I’ll get like a 5 min window during a bowl where I get massive delicious...

The Biggest Revelation I’ve Ever Had That Changed Pipe Smoking For Me Forever

Whats funny is that for many years I agreed but within the last two years, I have gotten very little from retrohaling which is why this discovery in my journey was such a welcomed surprise

The Biggest Revelation I’ve Ever Had That Changed Pipe Smoking For Me Forever

Totally agree, I've been smoking a pipe for nearly 10 years and this is just the first time I have ever focused on that. I was smoking some Ellypsis Flake (which is amazing and will have its own designated corner in my cellar) and could clearly and potently taste all of those "stewed fruits"

The Biggest Revelation I’ve Ever Had That Changed Pipe Smoking For Me Forever

I’ve been smoking for quite a while but I had a revelation recently that changed the game of smoking. Normally, I’d smoke with a tight mouth and tongue: the smoke would really on ever tough the tip/top of my tongue which never really delivered much flavor for me for blends that were Virginia...

Best Meer Non-Traditional Animal Artisan (and best American Bison)?

I agree with @Chasing Embers , Yanik is hands down the best figural carver and his pipes are very reasonably priced
