    Standardization - friend or enemy?

Prehispanic America. You had to climb a pyramid to order your mixture. And you had to be a priest.

    Showoff Your Dunhill Pipes Here!

This is a group 3 panel Apple with a shape number I’ve never seen - B410. In fact the shape number is not stamped. The panels form a rhombus and there is a very interesting tension - each pane seems to have different height.

    Bruyere St. Claude Pipes

(Intentional thread resurrection) I decided to purchase a Bruyere St. Claude panel pipe from Smokingpipes.com, as I need another beater for traveling: If minor fills here and there bother you, don’t buy these pipes. At $65, this one is just right. Charming red box adorned with shapes, It’s a...

Tragedy in France: Notre Dame Cathedral Engulfed In Flames.

I’m glad there was no loss of life. Now, please let the culprit not be a smoker. Please. We’re demonized enough.

    A. Fuente, 8=5=8 Maduro

Perhaps goes without saying - but the classic rustic look of the 8-5-8 is something else. These ain’t no perfectly smooth Davidoffs.

    Blend Age: What's Optimal?

The only before and after I’ve tried was about 7 years apart. It was PA. It smokes about the same but the oldest one was leas intense on the topping (only a little). I know JimInks has written about experience with multi-decade tests, maybe he can shed some light. I honestly don’t know if aging...

Classic shape bulldog, on a reasonable price

Sorry to hear you had issues with Petersons. Savinelli 623 or 504... or the KSs... can’t go wrong! https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/savinelli/index.cfm?shape=23&shape=22&sortOpt=default&displayNum=48

    On The Telly Tonight

George needs a good editor or three. The books are way too long, overtly-detailed, and some of the side stories are not that interesting. But that doesn’t stop me from reading his work and waiting for the new books. The man created something enthrallingly brilliant. So far season 8 is looking...

Smoking more than one type of tobacco in the same pipe

Except Lakeland. That damned perfume attaches itself to evert briar atom it can. Needs a lot more effort to disappear. If you’ve ever broken a bottle of perfume in a room, you know what I’m talking about.
