Tobacco Recipe Books
I once saw John David's recipe book from his shop, something the original owners has started and kept. Is that the sort of thing you are thinking about? A compelling idea but surely the issue with any older tobacco blending guides is that most of those tobaccos used are gone/changed. Sad.- rodo

Recommendations for Pipe Shops in Paris?
I thought that Tabac à la Civette was poncey and over-rated. Hands down the place to go is Pipe du Nord. It was taken over a few years ago by Marie and she is engaged with pipes and the pipe community. Shop is very nice and has a good vibe. There is a smoking area upstairs but I think you...- rodo

Proper Pipe Club etiquette.
I do think there is something to be said for awareness of the B&M in which the club may be meeting. The local here is small and it is a sort of politeness to make a small purchase, maybe a tin. As one member said, "I figure the price of a tin pays for my seat in the room and the a/c and heat"...- rodo

Yep, you get to go everywhere. I actually slept, on one of the program trips, in Lewis' room. Sadly, the Foundation changed up the programs (they are like a week seminar about Lewis) and the guests no longer reside at the Kilns but go there after overnighting in a nearby dormitory (!)...- rodo
