    Health Problems, Gotta Quit.

Perhaps you could get into teas if you haven't already. Should be fairly healthy. I've found tea can offer some of the same types of flavors found in tobacco and the ritual aspect can be there too. No nicotine though, but some teas can be quite relaxing. Just throwing this out as an alternative.

    What to Use...

Why no water for vulcanite? I always rinse the mouth bit (outside) after smoking and dry with paper towel. I have also been washing them when deep cleaning with neutral soap and water.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

Nighttime smoke with Dunhill Nightcap. Perks of being on holiday is that I don't have to think about what time it is.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2021?***

Smoke of this weekend was SG St. James Flake. There is an acidic taste in this one, similar to light roasted coffee. The type of wonderful acidic taste that tickles the tastebuds.

Who Smokes With Their Eyes Closed?

How do you do smoke rings? I just can't do them. On the topic: I smoke eyes open. I like to watch the smoke and surroundings. And I often smoke in public so eyes closed would look even more weird.

    Prices Through the Years

This is already a reality here in Finland. I believe it will be in most of Europe very soon if not already.

Coming Out of the Piper Closet!

You could get a tattoo on your forehead that says: "I suck and blow" I think this is the most rational action.

    Barely Lit

I'll have to disagree. I think taking small sips and big puffs gives me the whole flavor range. Sometimes I produce little smoke, sometimes big clouds. I try to keep relights to a minimum and bowl cool (relights not always needed until the bottom of the bowl if at all). I've found that more...

    Self Haircut

I do. I've done since 14 years old. Buzzcut is really easy (nothing fancy, I just cut it short, same length all around).

***What Are You Smoking, August 2021?***

SG St. James Flake, I've been smoking this for the last three days now. Burns beautifully and tastes wonderful. Relighted only once and it burned cool. Truly amazing blend.

You Think You Have A Basement Stash?

I don't even have a basement... Much less tanks.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2021?***

Smoked SG St. James Flake again. I don't understand why some people in reviews said this is difficult to smoke. I loaded it into a pipe an hour before and it burned well.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2021?***

Dunhill Nightcap to relax after work week. It's like warm autumn outside. So dry leaves are falling out of trees and thankfully a bit cooler weather after the afwul heat we had here in Finland. Not missing the heat at all.

Lord of the Rings - Extended Version

The extended versions are better (I can't watch one in one sitting though). They have a bit more extra scenes that were not in the books, so some hardcore Tolkien fans may not like them. I personally like the movies too.

    "Earthy" Flavor?

Definitely sets me in the mood for tea.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2021?***

I smoked SG St. James Flake for the first time. I didn't mean to pop this tin yet, but I just wanted to try it so badly. 5 years old tin. Very nice flavor. Could have dried it a bit more, but once I got it lit it burned well.

    "Earthy" Flavor?

On a side note, I once read a whisky review where one of the terms used to describe the taste was: decomposed leaves. I was perplexed. Has this person been eating decomposed leaves and if so, is it a good taste?

    "Earthy" Flavor?

So it's like I was thinking. Soil and dirt. Apparently this is a desired taste. I have smoked plenty of cigars (Cuban and others) that were described as earthy, but this "earthy" thing still eludes me. Some taste full and robust. Some are smooth and some are peppery. Some have coffee or...

    "Earthy" Flavor?

Can someone explain to me what "earthy" means? I see this in reviews all the time. I have no idea what this means. Some say Cuban cigars are "earthy" or burley is "earthy". What on Earth does this mean?
