    Orange Virginia?

I've noticed by far my favorite tobaccos are some of the McClellands- particularly CC. I've been realizing that McCelland is the only company I've noticed describing blends being composed of orange or orange-red tobaccos. Hands down, these are amazing blends to me. So, what are Orange...

    Pipe Smoking Myth #1

The only fine white ash is my fine white ash. Seriously, never happens to be. I think once with Esoterica Tillbury. I supposed if I started writing reviews it would happen all the time.

    Just sayn'in

I love Virginias, once I found them it was hard to move away from Virginias and VaPers. My favorite Vs, by far, are McClellands.

What are you queuing to try?

I've got 2 year old SG BBB and FVF and I've never tried either. Excited to try that.

Cigarette, cigar, pipe smoke linked to climate change (satire)

I disagree with you newbroom. This is pipe-based satire. The choice to dig deeper and be politically offended is yours.

    The Forgotten Esotericas

I love Tilburry. Wish it was easier to get. I have 2 unopened tins I was able to purchase at a totally normal price from a very generous friend and forum member- they are hanging in the cellar. I also have about 1 oz. in a jar as well.

Where do you stick your ash

Outside smoker. Dump into a tin, fling in the yard after each smoke.

    Keeping tobacco hydrated....

No need to add humidity to tobacco that's come appropriately from its manufacturer. Pipe tobacco is different from cigars in that it does not need (or like) high humidity. In fact, I'd actually be worried about adding humidity- I'd fear mold growth. If you pack it tightly into a mason jar, then...

Current Cellar. What To Add Next?

Get yerself plenty of McClelland Virginias and let them get happy! I also think GL Pease stuff ages well. Might I suggest some GL Pease Haddo's? FYI- in October P&C is having a huge sale on Hearth & Home Tobaccos- load up on Anniversary Kake! How do you attach your labels to the jars? I like that.

    Monkey Shoulder Scotch

I don't think its smokey or peaty at all. Its a blended scotch, so they tend to be smooth and (I think) toward the sweeter side. Think of it like a coffee or wine- the single bean/varietal tends to be more assertive in certain flavors and you'll love it or hate it. A coffee blend or a red wing...

    Monkey Shoulder Scotch

I actually didn't care for this scotch straight up, and would still prefer something like Johnny Walker black for a blended scotch. However, while I always drink single malts neat with a splash, I've started to enjoy scotch and sodas with blended stuff....monkey shoulder would fit that bill nicely.

My 2 cents on Sixpence :)

I do enjoy Sixpence. I'd love to hear how you "get there" on Quiet Nights- I tried it once and found it to be a wholly unenjoyable smoke.

    Stonehaven-A Newbie's Impression

I'm in that rare camp that, having tried Stonehaven a couple times, don't really understand the fuss. Likely, I need to keep working with it and find the "Sweet spot", but since it costs either my left nut or enough time hunting for it that my family would leave me, I find it not worth pursuing...

    Ropp horn stem pipes

What does a horn stem feel like when clenching? To me it sounds uncomfortable.

What Would You Call the Shape of This Neerup Pipe?

I think the bowl looks almost a bit like a Brandy. I see where you get apple. How about "Brandied Apple"?
