Your All Time Favorite 3 TV Series

I don't think I watched season 2 past the first episode, but season 3 was good, but not as good as the first.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2023?***

Smoked a couple of bowls of Back Down South, one in a Moonshine Cannonball (1/2 a bowl left over from yesterday) and one this evening in my Novak 192. Thinking about my dad this evening, he passed 8 years ago already. He was a pipe smoker in his early 30's while in the Air Force and is the main...

***What Are You Smoking, February 2023?***

Two Friends Redwood in a MM Ozark. Just picked this up a couple of days ago and it's a lovely little pipe, subtle but elegant.

    Morgan - Bones

I now have 3, ordered the first last September. I love them. The paneled billiard tends to get a little gurgly, but nothing that a slower cadence, and a pipe cleaner if needed, can't help. The other two are great smokers, especially the Stovepipe. I love that there are new shapes periodically...

What Music Are You Listening to? - February 2023

Just came across Elle King's lastest album yesterday, Come Get Your Wife, and i'm digging this track. Not a drinker, but it's a catchy tune. Also looking through my parents wedding album and the video nailed the style of the time ('79 in my parents case), well, except for the pickup.

    Reading and Smoking......[chooching?]

I smoke a pipe outside only and love reading when it's warm enough. Though I love fiction I haven't come across anything recently that has grabbed my attention. Krista Tippett's podcast On Being has turned me on to a couple of books that I've enjoyed; Robin Wall Kimmer's Braiding Sweet grass &...

How Often Do You Rub Out Flakes.

I'm new to flakes and have tried a few different ways from fold and stuff to fold and crush to fold, mild crush and ball up to fully rubbing out. Ive found that I like something along the lines of folding and crushing and packing, keeps a good density of the tobacco for flavor and a slower...

    Newbie Question

It's a tough one, and there may be blends that will work better for you than others, but I just think it's mainly getting use to it. It takes some concentration on your breathing, especially if you clinch. As Coreios mentioned, sometimes keeping your tounge over the end of the bit helps between...

***What Are You Smoking, January 2023?***

Finished off a bowl of Capstan Yellow in this Bones Stovepipe with a work friend down the way. This pipe has quickly become a favorite in my small collection.

    What are You Reading Now?

My wife is a Le Guin fan, I'll have to see if this is in her collection.

    Captain Black Revisit

I agree with this. I do love CB Royal, but the PG is also to much for me. Seven Seas is a good alternative, but I think the CB room note is nicer. Haven't tried White, Gold or Black CB.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2023?***

Enjoying the last of this bowl of Eccentric in the Bones Stovepipe after replacing a front oil seal and trans line seals (not sure of the latter is the source of the trans leak or not). Waiting to pick up some Butter Chicken and Potato Pacora on the way home.
