    In Praise of the Poker

I'm not too sure if it was ever a standard production shape. I do remember it was released in a couple of other special edition sets. I have a Mark Twain set as well like the one below, but it's not an army mount.. Here is the best reference I could find...

    In Praise of the Poker

I've never really liked pokers, blasts, or unfinished pipes but this one (having all three of those qualities) just spoke to me...These are the shots from the listing before I cleaned it up...A Peterson Burren. I passed on these in 2017/18 when they first came out, but I couldn't pass this one up...

    How Strong Are Bulls? Yikes...

There is a reason that the PBR chute height is usually at least 6' of metal pipe fence... My dad still runs 60 head or so, and I have seen a few bulls (and a couple of cows) get over a 4' fence at his place without a scratch... Here in rural CA (San Joaquin valley) it is not uncommon to see...

    Coupon Culture

I usually wait for deals and/or coupons, but based on the Sutliff debacle I ended up paying full price for some stuff before it is no longer available... Given the current environment with import tariffs, and my future retirement (about three years away), I'm trying to learn to live like a...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

I am (and have been) waiting for the day when Peterson reintroduces an 0 01 (preferably a CP's own pipe replica)...I understand the issues with the briar to make these, but that $ is burning a hole in my pocket!

    Peterson System Giant - Massive!

I really enjoy big pipes when I have the time, Peterson House and Pubs especially (big system pipes)...But I've never seen a factory Pete that big before (though I would definitely give it a go ;))...

Beauty! Regarding cake build up: I try to build a HARD cake, which means after the pipe has cooled, I lightly wipe the inside of the bowl down with a q tip dipped in 99% iso to clean it up and get rid of the ash. It will take much longer to build the cake up this way, but imo the cake ends up...
