Being an engineer, I love old machines. Years ago I saw a post that provided some photos of the Gawith factory. Somewhere I seem to remember reading that one of the oldest pieces of industrial equipment still in regular use is in this factory. It may be either the tobacco press or the flake cutter. Thought I'd share a few of those photos in case y'all haven't seen them before.

That was the old Sam Gawith factory, which is no more. Gawith Hoggarth bought Sam Gawith about 10 years ago and kept some of Sam Gawith's machinery but not all. See Samuel Gawith & The Kendal Brown House | Gawithhoggarth - https://www.gawithhoggarth.ltd/samuel-gawith. I believe everything is now made in a new consolidated factory space.
Yes, they have just moved to a new building but aren't yet producing snuff again in the new place (such that most GH & SG snuffs are out of stock via the online retailers).

I knew they'd moved but not that snuff production was not yet restarted. I've been enjoying some Cafe Regal with a date code for December 2024, might be from the end of the old factory though.
