    Wind caps

I have a Brog Old Army with a permanent wind cap built in. I've been smoking it a lot this time of year because it's so windy here in the fall.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

Going for a smoke before turning in. Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in my Old German Clay No. 70, following up a shot of Royal Canadian

***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

Yeah, that about sums it up. I just had another bowl of the stuff for my evening smoke in my little Brog poker. Something about the taste and smell reminds me faintly of a campfire and s'mores (from that kind of smoky/sweet thing it has, I'm terrible at describing), I'm curious if you guys get...

***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

Courtesy of my insomnia, I just went out and had a cup of coffee and a 4:30 am Dr. Grabow 1965-1970 Golden Duke full of Stokkebye Highland Mixture (which just arrived today and I hadn't tried yet, it was fairly pleasant but needs more sampling to determine how much I like it). Earlier in the...

    Mystery English Bent Rhodesian

Was it bought as a lot with any other pipes? If so, I'd be curious to know the brands of them or their markings? It's probably a longshot though. Nice looking pipe, anyway..

What Kind Of Pipe Purchaser Are You?

That's honestly pretty cool. I imagine those are pretty hard to track down. I wonder what company actually made them?

What Kind Of Pipe Purchaser Are You?

Have any pics of the Disney pipe? I'm just kinda curious.

What Kind Of Pipe Purchaser Are You?

I'm of the "only buy it if I'm reasonably gonna smoke it" camp. I love looking at old, unique, and beautiful pipes and maybe someday I'll buy them. But my current collection doesn't contain a single pipe that I've paid more than $50 for (although a couple are worth slightly more than that if I...

    More Estate Pipes!

That pipe nearest the tobacco jar is quite handsome.

    Things I Found Thrifting

Which Stephen King book? I'm a big fan of his stuff and I'm curious if it's one I've read.

    State of the Collection '25

I actually do have a 6-pipe rack, but it's kinda hard to photograph them on it because of how they sit.

Don't ask me why the image is upside down 😅

    State of the Collection '25

While my collection isn't as objectively cool as most of yours (having only started less the 2 years ago) I figured I'd give a little photo update on the state of my rotation that I smoke regularly. The pipes are, from the top left: Baraccini Filo Rosso Bent Rhodesian Unfiltered Briar Very...

    Shag Tobacco

Does anyone else really here like smoking Stokkebye Amsterdam Shag (or any other shag-cut tobacco generally) in pipes? I know at least where I'm at it's usually marketed as RYO but having tried it both ways it's just so much better in the pipe. I've tried a couple shag blends recently and found...

    Half and Half Tobacco

As somebody who likes both of those and currently has both on hand... I'm gonna have to try that. :)

    Half and Half Tobacco

I like H&H personally, it's one of my regular rotation pouches. But then I don't mind Burley blends so that probably has something to do with it. That and SWR Original (plus occasionally Capt. Black Cherry) are the only OTCs I've tried and actually liked smoking, but it's all personal taste...

    Filters, any good?

I own both filter and non-filter pipes, but personally I actually like them (my Grabow is one of my favorite pipes lately). All it really does as far as I can tell is make the smoke a little dryer for blends that are kinda moist.
