    Olive Coffee Anyone?

Possibly because of the thousands of tourists passing through, aching for something familiar among all the foreign-ness.

    P&C Coupon Failure

Since the state of Maine outlawed mail-order pipe tobacco, I've stopped visiting P&C's website, as well as all the others.

    United Pipe Clubs of America

Isn't Rangeley a fair bit to the northwest of Greene? (Greene is the first town up-river from Lewiston)

    Cat safe tobacco drying

My wife, had she read this thread, would have insisted that I pass along the warning that a very poisonous hazard to cats during this season are Poinsettia plants.

    United Pipe Clubs of America

As far as I know, there are no pipe clubs in Maine to become a member club. Got a couple of UPCA emails recently.

    Arctic Storm Batters the US

We lost power Friday morning (for the third time this December) and during the high winds and heavy rains the rest of Friday and Saturday, our cellar flooded thanks to the lack of juice to run the sump pump, so when the power came back after 49 hours, our heat didn't. The furnace got flooded and...

    What's your Favorite Coffee Mug?

I seem to remember once buying a black 20-oz coffee cup and saucer, which my wife promptly hid away. Saw it peeking out from behind some things in the cupboard the other day, reminding me of its existence.

Show Off your ATF here, Minus the A [guns]

No way to "home protect" with my .58 Zouave carbine, as I haven't seen musket caps anywhere for some years now.

    Edmund Fitzgerald

It's the Displacement Tonnage that keeps you afloat, not the Dead-Weight Tonnage.

    Fraudulent Tobacco and Pipe Site!

Perhaps the earliest scam was "I'm now your king, and you'll do what I say or my bootlickers here will beat the snot out of you."

    WDC Special Wellington

You don't use musket caps, do you? I can't find them anywhere at all.

    WDC Special Wellington

I have one, smooth finish. The metal band is stamped "NICKELOID EXTRA PLATED," and the bowl and stem are both marked with the WDC in a triangle and the word Wellington. I also have a small Wellington which has a dark-yellow shade of pipe stem (but not a p-lip style at the mouthpiece end).

Cellaring: How Much is Too Much?

I dunno . . . I was once told by a Urologist that "as far as your prostrate is concerned, too much sex is just enough." As to "too much" of a tobacco cellar, it's probably too much when there's no room in the house any more to live in.

    Florida and Carolina's Members Beware...

The problem with conventional Cruise missiles, is they cost around $1 million per shot.

Country Squire Event Sponsored by Pocket Jar!

Just found two of these in the package from my sister for my birthday today!

Semi-Truck Carrying Sex Toys Spills Out Onto Oklahoma Highway

"It's always those quiet ones, ain't it?" as they keep saying . . .

Wreck of American Warship USS Jacob Jones Found off Cornwall.

A four-stack "destroyer (maybe?)" Would that be the Wicks class, by any chance?

Just Noticed an Excise Tax on my Orders!?

Wouldn't it be a nightmare if we got charged the excise tax from BOTH the shipping, and our own states?

    Witnessed Surrealish Accident

Drive Defensively is just a polite way of saying: DRIVE PARANOIDLY. There's at least one idiot out there with your name on his bumper. Some years back, my sister was driving home southbound on I-5 in Oregon, passing a semi-trailer when a 15-year-old on her learner's permit tried to pass both...

    PayPal Payment Changes

I haven't had any such problems. For the past few months, every time I have tried to use PayPal, only the LEFT HALF of the PayPal window appeared, and resizing the window didn't change what was displayed, leaving the check-boxes and buttons missing altogether.
