    Help ID a Sasieni

Take note on Patent era Sasienis - the stems are threaded for a screw-in stinger. I've had both Parent and plus-1946 era Sasienis. The stem work is identical (slim buttons, "clicky" vulcanite). But I found with Patent pipes that have the stinger (most do not), the draw is somewhat...

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

I would have thought that this Comoy's magnum would have done better than the GBD from last week. I guess the difference is that it was smoked. Interesting bone chimney like a Peterson system. I wish we had a better picture of it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/376518318934

Anyone Else Obsessed with Bent Rhodesians / Bulldogs?

Some excellent examples of both shapes in this thread. The Rhodesian and bulldog are my two favorite shapes and easily take up the bulk of my current collection. I always say the Rhodesian shape reminds of something, but i can't quite put my finger on it. Here's my group, with a few...

    GBD "Beau Nash" Rhodesian Restoration

I remember seeing that video. George usually makes the tool he needs.

    Oil cured pipes besides Dunhill/Ashton?

Some believe Sasieni oil cured their pipes as part of the pre-carb process. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned in 2023. https://pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/a-look-into-the-sasieni-oil-curing-method.37849/

    I wonder what George uses?

    GBD "Beau Nash" Rhodesian Restoration

That's actually describing a ball end hex key for Allen bolts. Apparently the handle end with a ball is just a comfort feature

    GBD "Beau Nash" Rhodesian Restoration

Right! Curiously, my smaller Craftsman screwdrivers have a rounded end. My larger ones have this ball-end. No clue why, or if there is a purpose.

Do you keep a journal of your work on pipes?

576 of those pictures are "misc", pipe events, accessories, etc. I take on average 16 photos per pipe (12 finished and 4 "before"). I'm at pipe #466 in my log, so that math works out.
