    Question about new 2024 regulations

Which manufacturers have multi year stocks of leaf? Which varieties? Can it be properly accounted for, as will be demanded by track and trace regulations?

That's an interesting pipe. If it were larger I would be happy to add it to my collection of 65`s, regardless of Coppo's opinion. Anybody can have a bad day :)

    Question about new 2024 regulations

You are starting late. While the parts of the European Tobacco Products Directive applicable to pipe tobacco don't take effect until 2024, the leading leaf sources (big operators like Universal Leaf,Pyxus. BAT, etc.) are already restructuring supplies of leaf to be compliant with track and...

    Germain and Sons Stopping Production?

Got the last name wrong, but I'll answer to oldgeezersmoker😀 The info in the link you provided is correct

Why they quit using shape numbers might have multiple reasons, but the most commonly accepted one is that since they quit using copy lathes many years ago, it just didn't make sense to keep using shape numbers, which they did for at least a couple of decades. Retailers and collectors use the old...

Can somebody please translate the above from the Canadian? I have seen very few 63's so stamped, and they were unmistakably apples. I am frankly at a loss as to why there are so relatively few 63's out there. For a Castello rookie, the OP grabbed a very nice pipe.

I still vote 65. It could conceivably bee stamped 63 back in the old days, but many older pieces that could quality as a bent apple bear the 65 stamp. 63's, so stamped, are far from common. Nice pipe regardless

    I would call it a 65

    Germain and Sons Stopping Production?

The European Tobacco Products Directive (there is a UK rough equivalent) is a burden that some manufacturers won't be able to meet. Planta sold out to Mac Baren for this stated reason https://mac-baren.com/mac-baren-tobacco-company-take-over-planta-tabak/ I know that @gawithhoggarth has...

I must have missed posts that fit your description. Care to identify them?

Kendal Cream Flake by Samuel Gawith

Usually it is Rachel, but occasionally it is Chris, the daughter and son respectively of the late John and, very much alive , Irene Gawith. Not sure where the humor lies.

    Near GH Balkan Guidance Request

Try the GH #12, #20 and #25 I have all of those in small jars in a convenient place, but GH Balkan is in the same location and I reach for it more often.

And Ernie at Watch City is not the first on line seller to couple Eso and pipes. Hilands and CDM already were doing this.

    Esotericapers

Not all accounts are the same. Sounds like Skip has a relationship with Mike Gold or another family member. I know that the shop mentioned here specifically as feeling pressured to couple pipes and Esoterica purchases deals with a sales manager, who has to make his numbers. Arango is a...

Samuel Gawith Tin And 250g Box Laudisi Availability List, Including 7 Plugs

Per a discussion that came up on another forum about a year ago on another forum, it was verified by Chris Gawith that they have never made Revor, but distribute it for Scandinavian Tobacco Group. When the topic came up,, it was because Daniel at Synjeco had told the world it had been...

Samuel Gawith Tin And 250g Box Laudisi Availability List, Including 7 Plugs

The distribution has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that GH acquired SG 6 years ago. By my count, there have been 3 different distributors for GH sincethe merger and 2 for SG.

Samuel Gawith Tin And 250g Box Laudisi Availability List, Including 7 Plugs

I heard a Memo went out to shops Friday, so I pulled up the Laudisi web page just to see that there was something solid behind the talk, and found this. https://www.laudisi.com/samuel-gawith.cfm Answers a lot of questions being asked in other threads. According to what I heard about the memo...
