Good and Bad Experiences Smoking in Public

Where I’m from, people generally react positive to clergy. What denomination are you Streeper? Weren’t you a vet too?

Good and Bad Experiences Smoking in Public

Veterans are always the best at sticking it to the man. A hitch in any of the branches can result in receiving a MA equivalent degree in sarcasm & revenge. This story truly brought a smile to my face.

9mm Charcol Filters vs Meerschaum Throwdown

I have had a different experience. Vauen filters in a vauen pipe fit perfectly. I mean perfectly engineered by our German friends. I used to not use filters. Then I started using paper ones in my Grabow for humidity help when I was in the PNW. Then I switched to charcoal. I’m currently on a...

Good and Bad Experiences Smoking in Public

I am met with indifference and the occasional “that smells good” while enjoying Boswell Aromatics.

Would love to have seen this. How old is he now?

    The Acolyte on Disney+

Meritocracy. Your tale is becoming too common, of tax breaks or public relations hires being brought in over qualified people. Identity politics is just a new form of Jim Crow.

Dr. Grabow in my Collection, At Last

I live not too far from the Grabow plant in the blue ridge mtns of NC. Glad they are still turning out pipes. Grabow to me is the blue collar, working man’s pipe. They still make a good truck pipe and my Grabows spend a lot of the summer going fishing. Sorry to hear about USPS. Your collection...

    Enjoying pipes in appalachia

Attaching this photo with a mountain dulcimer. My money is on that pipe being made in Sparta…it looks like a Dr Grabow “big pipe”, although I am uncertain what year they began to manufacture those.

    GMO Tobacco/No Nicotine

What makes the “tar”? Interesting article about biomass uses. I think nuclear will be the unlikely means of powering the future through SMRs and other emerging tech. During the pandemic there was discussion of using tobacco plants to produce vaccines or some sort of treatment best I recall.

UK Tobacco Ban On The Way

“pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!!”. I.e. this shambolic “ban” will only enrich the criminal element and serve no real purpose aside from political brownie points. See also the “fireworks ban” in Hawaii. The YouTube video for 4th of July will bring tears to your eyes.

UK Tobacco Ban On The Way

This. Exactly this. Everybody’s seen the wizard of Oz right?

    Banking the Fire

Sounds about right. Some of the best tamping advice was simply, tamp lighter than you think you need. Just the slightest press works.
