Old Codger All Day Smoking with One Pipe

More tales of the Amish pipe smokers! We know they will not be on the English internet to share their experiences!! 😃

    Cob Hazing.

American tradition. That’s it for me. Cobs were what great grandpappy had. I don’t take them out in public much because I don’t want to look like a complete hillbilly rube. Its hard enough already.

    9mm Charcoal Filter Brand Comparisons

Vau Dr Perls work perfectly in a vauen. Like German precision perfect. They however don’t seal in my Peterson pipes which is a shame because I’d rather use the Dr Perl than any other brand. Why is 9mm not 9mm across the board?

This Seller Wished Upon The Right Star (Disney Pipe Auction)

The price will be reflected by the cost the market will pay. Someone must be very happy to own this small piece of a bygone and better era.

    Quiet Nights Help...

I enjoy it with a 9mm filter and adequate drying. My first experience was “wow- and what an apt name!” Sometimes things hit different at different times. Consider aging it in a mason jar while you “shift fire” elsewhere.

We’ve got it Pretty Good these Days

I see two pipes in the picture. Looks like a billiard and maybe a tomato or bulldog bringing up the rear? Can’t tell the shapes that well.

    9mm vs 6mm pipes

    I can’t tell a bit of difference.

In Praise of the Classic SWRA

Man, what a treat it would be to have a SWR(A) flake! I’m surprised it’s not offered, doesn’t it simplify the process? Does a flake vs cut change taste?

In Praise of the Classic SWRA

Also curious about changes to original SWR.

They make a great wet weather “wallet” or pouch, but that’s about it! Get the tub and be satisfied.

Make sure the pouches are fresh. All the pouches I bought in Alabama in years past was just pure dried out leaf. The tub makes a big difference.
