New to me Patent era Parker Super briar Bark 5/F

Thanks, im excited to give it another life. It definitely called out to me from the 5 pipes it was being sold with. Luckily the person sold it to me by itself,, but then again I offered 15$ for 1 pipe. The lot of 5 didn't sell for starting bid of 25$ (I should have bought all 5 if just for the...

New to me Patent era Parker Super briar Bark 5/F

If other jobeys smoke half as well as this one I believe there will be more in my immediate future Never had a parker before, I've admired them for a while now, it'll prob send me down another brand specific rabbit hole. Not.that I'm complaining or nothing.

    Jobey Florintine

I've cleaned it up inside and out (man after 8 years pr so refurbishing old estate pipes I still get shocked at how filthy people actively smoked them.) I'm surprised how.well it smokes and clenches. Good purchase 👌

    Jobey Florintine

Can't say I've owned a Jobey before. I happen to love Italian rustication that resemble rocks and coral. Although after shipping and tax I may have paid to much? 31$. I feel it was a bit over priced cause i failed to notice how out of wack the button and stem are. Button should be no prob for me...

New to me Patent era Parker Super briar Bark 5/F

I saw this blast and had to have it, even though it's mortise is broke.and.glued together, I'll make a mokume-gane ferrule for it to shore it up and maybe re-stain it but not sure if I should. I payed 15$ plus shipping so about 25$ total. I am comfortable with that. What do you folks think 🤔?

    Another Tony Fillenwarth

Wow that stem looks.just like the pattern found in "birds eye" pattern welded knives (often wrongly called "Damascus") that is prob the coolest looking stem. I'll have to.check him out, thanks for.turning us onto him 👍

Is my new Unsmoked Wally Frank a decent deal? New guy asking for honest opinions.

I think some wally Frank's are real sleepers, some are from comoys factory, you can tell by country of origin stamp. I have a white bar, it's great and it's a comoy or at least made the same place. The dead root pipes are nice, as are 5 star. U have a great looking pipe, great peace of pipe...

Pipes by Lee Soaking Up Oil

I use food grade mineral oil after I scrub the out side. The briar looks very tired and dried out after washing decades of grime off. I just get a drop of oil and usually that will cover the whole bowl and enliven the briar and bit. it's porous enough to soak it up but I don't go more than one...
