I do the same now. Just put the 250 gram box in a mylar bag and seal it. In the past I used to put all 250 gram tobacco in mason jars, but that gets heavy and takes up much storage space.- npod

I got the Wessex Donkey logs today. It is TOTALLY different than Peter Heinrich’s version. I am sure this one has Burley in it, and there’s a funny topping. Lesser quality Virginia for sure. I used a 21mm manual focus lens with magnifier adapter. I literally had the lense touching the tobacco to get >1:1 reproduction. When done correctly the detail is amazing and you can visualize the micro crystals and even wrinkles in the tobacco parts. Sooooo coooool.- npod

I had a similar experience. I knew it was going to be cellared deep and it is kinda sorta hard to find. Not impossible, but it does require some leg work. I kept my passion for the blend to myself until I had stocked up enough to satiate my stash goal.- npod

Yes these are natural sugars. A pal and I have looked up the German data sheets on tobacco blends (it is German law that these be posted). According to the data, Latakia/Commodore Flake is nearly full natural tobacco with no detectable added sugars.- npod

McConnell’s Latakia Flake and Sillem’s Commodore Flake are essentially the same blend. They are my favorite tobacco. The are truly wonderful with a few years of age.
