I would just smoke it to the end..crack may get worst or it may stabilize..it is likely nobody's fault...meerschaum is natural material and it just acts unpredictable...- NC TX ID pipeman

For How Long are Sealed Pouches Good?

Bowls and bears
In 2oo1 I met a huge grizzly bear up in Yukon by the edge of the lake really close..my heart was pumping so I had to calm down and smoke a pipe later in my truck.....i met several black bears but never been smoking a pipe at that time...They are unpredictable and dangers -specially Yukon black...- NC TX ID pipeman

A Peterson Pipe…for $300?
I buy blasted or rusticated pipes here and there but for me the smooth pipe is the way to go..I own 4 Petes over 300$ two naturals one flame grain spigot and terracota house pipe..I would not buy blast from Peterson for this money...There is very few blasts that I like and they are hard to find...- NC TX ID pipeman
