Cornell & Diehl Tobacco - Recommendations?

My first recc was going to be Dreams of Kadath, but since you're one step ahead, I'll second (third?) the vote for Crooner, and add an endorsement of Byzantium.

Corona Old Boy - Are They Worth It?

Yes, the flame has little to no wind resistance. But this does have a secret side benefit: You can extinguish it by flicking your wrist, which will make you feel cool.

Thoughts on the following and describe them

Of these I've had OJK, and will say two things about it: 1- It's pretty good. 2- You'll smell like a smoker. I work with a woman who has a very powerful sense of smell, and she never knew I smoked until I walked in one morning with some Old Joe particles apparently still clinging to my hair...

I've Seen It All Now - Japanese Fighting Pipes

As I understand it, the Imperial Calendar is mostly only used on official documents nowadays. Adds a weight of gravitas and tradition to doing the taxes or applying for a permit, I suppose.

Planning return to piping with a change in direction.

C&D and Gawith both have pure Kentucky available in bulk if you just want to experiment with it straight / as a condiment. Haven't tried any of Gawith's non-aromatic options, but Dark Bird's Eye and Dark Plug both sound very nice.

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

Vanilla-y, and I may or may not have bought them for the package. Hobson's Choice, I believe, is a Davidus brand, and I know they're usually pretty good. So combine brand trust with a sexy demoness on the bag...

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

Hobson's Bad Boy. This li'l thing was dipped in syrup and infused with vanilla or somethin'. Beginning to suspect that I like infused/flavored cigars more than I like most aromatic pipe tobacco. Also bought a sampler of those flavored CAOs, on the principal of "If any of these are super good...

The mythical frosty mint seasonal release of War Horse! I hear it has all the flavor and sophistication of Napoleon...'s Russian campaign, and is mixed in with the residue from cleaning out artillery during the Great Patriotic War.

Oh man, I love Somyade Csyatsmbgye Kakye (assuming I remember Cyrillic), especially how it smells like pickles because they use the brine from The People's Pickle Processing Facility #5 as a mold-deterrent. Though if you can find a pre-1940s tin, that stuff is premium - it used the brine from...

I've Seen It All Now - Japanese Fighting Pipes

Kiseru-jutsu sounds like a nice way for a pipe club to exercise together. Given a generation or two of development, I'm sure we could have a martial manuscript detailing the maneuvers to defeat a bulldog with a Rhodesian, or how to properly wield a pencil-shank billiard defensively against a...

Mine were cushioned by 4 (four) sheets of brown packing paper. I guess you just pissed them off, since mine were packed so well. Komrad, at Trotsky Tobacco Party (not corporation, is a party, tovarich!) ALL Virginia is red, and the White Burley is Tsarist so we use proletarian makhorka instead...

Samuel Gawith Cabbie's Mixture Available in US?

I saw some on the shelf at Davidus Cigars in MD literally yesterday, didn't buy any though. So that's confirmed American presence, at least. You aren't hallucinating. Probably.

A new source of Perique tobacco in Laos with the help of Tsuge Pipe Company and L.A. Poche

The two things I wanted out of this: 1- Pipe nerds debating the relative virtues of St James vs Laotian perique. 2- Some absolute MADMAN to release a blend with Laotian perique and Vietnamese rustica ("Laotian Drug", I believe they call it, only, you know, in Vietnamese) Edit: And if that madman...
