    Oil the hinge. I use a drop of mineral oil and I open and close it repeatedly. You will see black stuff wash out in the oil. The action will improve.

    Yes, it helps to click on the original images to see the details. I assume that is why it got the Straight Grain Fiammata stamp. Is that a common stamp?
