What is Happening to the Rim of My New Pipe?
Hello fellows, I bought a new Savinelli Night 316 KS, and noticed on my second day of smoking that there is a sort of charred rim??? Really I have no idea since I am no expert in briar or pipes. When I try to wipe it with either Saliva or water, it fades for a few seconds until it comes back... -

I tried packing it tighter, I actually found it to help! I jammed it a little harsher. I guess it is all a personal “thing” with pipe smoking. Currently doing your second suggestion. I’ll give it a couple of days break, but about the frustration I mean i honeslty only get 15-25mins max. is that a problem? I don’t feel like I am satisfied with the duration of the bowl. That frustrates me, and everything else really.- Law

You rock your own way. It is important to enjoy it the way you like to enjoy the blends. But for me, some blends have so much flavor, that if I do something else and get distracted, I feel like I would not enjoy it fully. It all depends for me, and for each individual smoker. puffy- Law
