***What Are You Smoking, April 2020?***

I really like the view from my deck, but you've definitely got me beat! This will be the first time in 10 years we haven't gone to the gulf for vacation. I need my salt air fix!

A much anticipated bowl of Mac Baren's HH Vintage SYRIAN Latakia.

Nice night to sit next to the lake and enjoy some Packet (house blend) in my only MM.

Never Ending Daily Use Blending Tin

Oh man! From the title I thought someone had discovered the mythical never emptying tobacco tin. That sounds like a great idea and a way to have some fun; maybe do a "mystery bowl Monday" smoke.

Thank you Kevin. I agree with @hoosierpipeguy; I just ignored those threads, but it's nice not having to.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2020?***

The house is quiet and I have a nice fire going. Enjoying some nice house blend (1917) from my local B&M and a glass of tawny port.

What Do You Think About This?

I once proved that I could down 10 shots of tequila in under 60 seconds... won the battle, but lost the war in a spectacularly messy way. Ahhh to be a 20 year old soldier again!

What are You Drinking? (April, 2020)

I'm enjoying a Dry Branch Brewery Irish Red. "Dry Branch" is what the area around our small farm is called and I brew it myself. My "brewery" consists of several carboys and the small downstairs kitchenette that I commandeered for the task. :)

Good Afternoon from the West Coast

Welcome from Missouri. I spent a wonderful year of my life in Monterey in the late 80's. Lovely place!

    Peterson Irish Oak

I have a couple tobaccos that I purchased with high hopes because other's had like them so much. A couple had that "cigarette-ish" taste you described. I have a house blend from my local B&M that by itself is a great all day blend (various black tobaccos). I keep a good quantity on hand...

Has Your Buying Habits Changed Much?

I'm fortunate that my occupation is considered critical so I'm not afraid of being laid off. That said we are in a fiscally conservative state so I'm not making rash purchases. I did just buy 2 lbs of MacBaren's HH Vintage Syrian Latakia; that was a deal I couldn't let slip away.

Has Your Buying Habits Changed Much?

Several sailing channels I follow have made passages to those islands. Ruggedly beautiful!

Has Your Buying Habits Changed Much?

We were going to sell out sailboat this spring. Even if I put it on the market no one is in the buying mood right now nor do I want to spend time in the cabin with strangers while showing the boat. Not a dig at you, but I also didn't want to deal with people trying to low ball me on the price...

Mac Baren Plumcake, Thoughts From a Novice

I agree. I love the way several C&D blends smell, but I have a hard time smoking them. I know they're good blends, but I get strong cigarette flavor and "harshness". I don't know exactly how to describe it? You may be on to it being a body chemistry thing because I know several others who...

    My Fourth Carve

Beautiful pipe! That's a very creative job on the color; I really like it.
