    Burley Based Blends

That's a nice range of choices, and each is truly different from the other though all have a good dose of burley.

    F-1, Formula-1, Top Dedicated Racing

It _is_ a good setup for an interesting race. Leclerc in his usual pole (but can Ferrari match Red Bull speed on the straights?), Perez in P2 (will Verstappen in P3 aggress his teammate for P2? Will there be team orders?). This has been a great season so far.

    Burley Based Blends

I'm intrigued. I don't believe I've ever had a blend that is burley and perique only. I just ordered 4 oz to try.

    Nicotine Reactions

lol, that actually reminds me of a superstitious ritual I used when weapons qualifying in the Army (and later in the Air Force Security Forces). It started as a joke, but I would take a big whiff of my magazine, act like I was discerning what the scent was imparting to me, then slam it in and...

    Nicotine Reactions

I have heard of this, but never experienced it. My nic tolerance is off the charts from decades of the cowboy killers, such that I like strong blends just for the relaxation effect.

    F-1, Formula-1, Top Dedicated Racing

Looking forward to the race. I've been a Ferrari Tifosi since I started following (and occasionally attending) F1 20 or so years ago during the Schumacher era. My back-marker team is Alfa Romeo, dating back to when they were Sauber (and really they still are Sauber but for the name).

    Best of the Best OCBs…Go!

Granger -- I like the rough cut and the slight molasses taste. Also the dog on the can is a good boy.

    Desert Island Tobacco

I would go with a simple strong burley. I usually answer this question with Five Brothers, but these days, Kelly's Coin is taking that place.

How Important is One Pipe per Blend Type

I smoke burley forward blends, and to a lesser extent, some blends with heavy latakia (Ten Russians mostly). I don't dedicate pipes (and mostly smoke cobs which may be a factor) to either, and have no issues with ghosting from latakia. That may be because many of my burley blends have a touch...

    Latakia Blends

Consider a simple type of blend that you know you like (like Va/Per, Burley, Bur/Va, etc) and look for one with those ingredients but with latakia as well. Read reviews on the blends you want to try to make sure the latakia is more in the background. You'll be able to see the difference it...

    English Blends

I had a 'falling out' with latakia a few years back. Couldn't stand the slightest trace of the stuff in a blend. Then I decided to try Old Joe Krantz Red Label despite it having a bit of latakia as a condiment. I like the other Old Joe Krantz blends, and burley/va in general, so I thought I'd...

Top Five Concerts You Wish You'd Been At?

I don't have five, but I have this one: Led Zeppelin 1977 Pittsburgh, because it didn't happen. I was in middle school, and saved up for it. I got lucky at the National Record Mart when I went to buy tickets, and randomly won back stage passes. While waiting for the day of the concert, I...

    Favorite Steak Marinade

I like them grilled straight-up (no marinade or anything), then after rub in a bit of sea salt and olive oil. A friend of mine in South Korea introduced me to that, and it's still my favorite way to have a steak.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2022?***

Just opened a tin of C&D Elegant Emu from 2008. It aged well. Though not an aromatic, it kinda strikes me as an American English aromatic. Chacom Army 154 (poker) is the pipe.

    Who Doesn't Enjoy Plum Pudding?

I didn't much like it. I tossed the tin after a couple tries.
