    Chacom Pipes General Impressions?

    Chacom nowadays is one of the best and modern pipe manufacturies in the world. It's products are of highest quality. I would say, together with Savinelli, Mastro de Paja and Vauen, they are state of the art when in comes to factory pipes. Full recommendation.

    Hi Yambo, They're using a very similar "Tuna- Can" in 2 Oz size. Not the same as in the US, but very similar. They have installed a completely new packing line for it. Hope that helps.

    I've just talked to the distributor of C&D tobaccos, Kohlhase & Kopp. The market introduction is delayed because of false printings of the labels. New labels have arrived today. They are calculating two weeks from today until first tins will arrive at the dealers.

    Many, many blends have improved (at least to me) that are now made at Mac Baren. St. Bruno for example. Unsmokeable to me 15 years ago, now my all time favourite blend. The Amphora Blends. As (Amphora Red for example) was still made in the Netherlands, it always gave me tonguebite. Not anymore...

    True. The next shipment is scheduled for autumn this year. Our last shipment was sold within hours. The problem is, there is no shipping company that wants to dig to tobacco shipment legislation outside/inside the EU. So the distributers have to send Trucks on their own.

    The Problem is, you must prevent to be really successful. When order volumes reach a certain level, US tax authorities will pay close attention. They might charge or even sue your company for not paying tobacco taxes. To be honest, it's a miracle to me how Esterval can do business like that for...

    G&H are not available in Germany to date, but Samuel Gawith (at least from time to time). Although, Rich Dark Flake was never available outside UK. Maybe mixed some up a bit?

    Not anymore. Planta has closed it's doors in 2018. R&M is made now at Mac Baren and has gained so much in quality that it has become a real pleasent and easy to smoke blend. Give it a try again. Although, the brand suffers a lot from the bad reputation it once had.

    Sutliff also makes own tobaccos...at least as far as i know. Not all of the blends are pre-produced by Mac Baren. Am i wrong?
