Without markings, identifying the carver is near impossible. There were many carvers who crafted pipes in that style.- jerry

Blend Reserved for Treats?
I mostly smoke and enjoy bulk tobacco from an assortment of blenders. When I want a special treat (like now, birthday week) I open a tin of something that I‘ve been aging (currently some older Maltese Falcon).- jerry

Quality Of Meerschaum Pipe?
I‘m not too interested in meer-mythology, personally. Though I’ve collected and smoked them since high school (I’m 70 this month). I had a friendship with Fred Bass who wrote extensively about Meerschaums, and I think he covered this topic … or at least had some opinions 😊 I suppose his...- jerry
