    Morgan Bones Pipes

Estates, on average, run less than a Bones pipe. And sometimes far less. You can find GBDs, Webers, Bertrams, Kaywoodies, Hardcastles, etc in that price range and many look like they have never been smoked. The restoration needed for most is going to cost little. If Bones were marked up more...

    Grousemoor Experiment

To each our own taster/smellers. I confess that many times I will try a blend based on others' descriptions and I am left with a what the hell moment as nothing described by them exists on any plane for me with a given blend.

    Grousemoor Experiment

Grousemoor is like a high-quality tea with a bit of citrus oil waved over it. I am not sure what it is but it works for me. Really want to try the plug version. I hear it is a different beast. Also, mix 1 part of Grousemoor with 2 parts Rattrays Exotic Orange (or whatever it is called these...

Finally Made It To Watch City Cigars!

I am happy to hear that a bit of age makes it even better. Will be cellaring as much as I can afford. VaPers have only recently, the past year, really opened up for me. Now I regret some of the blends I have cellared.

Finally Made It To Watch City Cigars!

We were in Boston this past weekend and I had time to stop at WCC. Ernie was in the shop and I cannot say enough about how incredibly nice he is. Picked up a couple of pounds and some ounces of various blends and cannot believe it has taken me this long to try Old Dominion and 558. And his...

    Asking for a Friend

Have never tried the Biotene and we just happened to have bought some this past weekend. And will try a larger bowl and a few different pipes. Aros are hit or miss with me and the Cult Cherry is one I love everything about but for how it treated my mouth. Thanks for the advice. May help with...

    Asking for a Friend

I wish that were my experience with the Cult. Maybe it is a pH issue or maybe I have a bad tin. Dunno, but it scorched my mouth. I have not tried it since I jarred it. I have learned to slow smoke Aros and maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.

    GL Pease Oriental Blends

I mix Cairo with Peretti Tashkent to give it a boost in strength and flavor, so to speak. Of course, Tashkent is fine as is but it did help make Cairo a good smoke.

Anyone Else Snag Some C&D Beast?

Yet, Cringle Flake has been a very nice blend for a limited release.

    Asking for a Friend

CBRM will scorch a beginners tongue as fast as any comparable blend. G, H, & C blends are a good bet. Ken Byron has a few cherry blends that might fit the bill. Also, his Sakura is an easy smoke with a cherry "tone".

    L.J. Peretti

Tashkent is such a great smoke.

Burley Lovers, Help A Brother Out

I wish they did not all taste bitter to me. I like the taste for about 5 seconds and then the bitterness starts hammering me. Toasted Burley is less bitter but alas PS quit making it. Also, Dark Fired does not seem to bother me either.
