***What Are You Smoking, July 2020?***

My favorite Mingus album, I sometimes think.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2020?***

Wilke No. 400 in a Falcon bent stem with rusticated apple briar bowl. Masala chai to accompany. Walking in the garden this morning, and the tomatoes, peas, and corn are all coming along well.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2020?***

Weeeellll, doggies...I've been able to puff not once, not twice, but three doggone times today! Before heading off to bed: a bowlful of H&H's Blackhouse in a MM Missouri Pride cob. Evening all, and smoke 'em in peace and good health.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2020?***

When it rained on a sunny day, my grandmother would always say, “The devil’s beating his wife!”

    The Molto Dulce Experience.

Wilke's still around - John Brandt now owns the name and blend recipes. Butternut is no longer available, because the supplier who provided the burley is no longer around, either.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2020?***

KBV Burlier Morning Blend in a Falcon shillelagh stem with a rusticated apple briar bowl. Masala chai is my accompaniment.

    The Molto Dulce Experience.

@kola - If you're looking for some aromatics that aren't sozzled and soggy, or need an overnight drying, try Wilke's blends. I'd dropped aros from most of my lineup before getting their Rumcake, Vermont Maple Cavendish, and Cherry Cavendish.

H&H's Magnum Opus in an unplastered MM Diplomat apple.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2020?***

Finally home after a 2-week trip, and first bowl up for the day is Hearth & Home's Black House, in an Eric Paulson bulldog. A pleasantly cool, overcast day here in the PNW, and a very nice contrast from Florida, where it was in the mid- to upper 90s and very humid every day I was there...
  18. marlinspike

    The Molto Dulce Experience.

My experience very closely mirrors yours. I gave the rest of the tin away. A goopy, sloppy mess that sizzled in the bowl, and was overly sweet. Not the worst tobacco I've ever tried, but not anything I want to repeat, that's for sure.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2020?***

I got in a couple of tins of Smokers’ Haven blends, and am trying out a bowl of the Cognac Mixture in an unplastered MM Diplomat apple.

    Jim's 46th Pipe Smoking Anniversary.

The man - the myth - the legend! A man so quick he's fast asleep! My wife would beat me if I smoked a quarter as much as you. You the man, for sure. A piping institution! Many happy returns.
