    Oversmoking a Pipe

My grandfather owned one pipe, he cleaned it with his pocket knife. He also rolled his own using Prince Albert, the only tobacco he ever bought for either. That pipe lasted him as long as I knew him. I was about 30 when he passed. If anyone had told him he needed more pipes so he could "rest"...

    Customer Appreciation 2016 Sampler

Everyone complains about that lane 125 being too dry. I got some at a B&M last week and mine was too moist! They had repackaged it from bulk so maybe they had soaked it down. The free prize works for Cracker Jacks, looks like it makes some headway everywhere. For someone that whats to try out...

Are Savinelli pipes really that great?

The one I have is a fine pipe, but so is the Peterson I have. That gator skin is a great looking pipe in my option, I hope you like it. Folks can say otherwise but when it gets down to the root of it, we buy a pipe because it appeals to us. Not because we need a better pipe. There are...

How can I be loosing my taste for Latakia? Has anyone else had this experience?

I never cared much for it to start with. For me every blend that has it smells like moldy woods. I do have a mild blend called fox and hound that I can kind of enjoy, but it has been "cellar-ed" for a long time to tame it a bit. And it sometimes months between bowls. Maybe enjoy was too...

    #Pipe Tobacco Jobs Matter

Some how I get the picture of a bunch of old men standing around smoking pipes and throwing lime jello at the cops. Its not a pretty picture. I guess I'm in as long as I can be home before dark and I don't have to touch the jello.

Marking the passing of the tobacco world as we knew it

I have orders in for my birthday. I am not a big consumer, but I hate the idea of being told what to do. I plan to stock up a bit while I have choices. Wouldn't take much and I could be set for life...

    Tobacco Questions

Prince Albert was the favorite of both my father and grandfather. Both used it in a pipe and roll your own. My wife likes the smell because it reminders her of her grandfather. Some are too quick to discount the tried and true and end up missing out.

FDA Regulations: New Article Aug 2, 2016 by Tom Wolfe

Funny they will not bust the guy dealing weed on the corner, but they want to shut down the legitimate law abiding tax paying job creating business on the other side of the street.

    Finally got my first pipe!

Golf Tee makes a great tamper, the pocket knife I carry also works perfect.

new to pipe smoking, few question i like to ask.

It was a long time before I found something I liked better than Carter Hall. In fact I'm not sure I have yet... I agree to go with the MM cob, great place to start.

    Pastors and the Pipe

Another Pastor here. Picked the pipe back up a few years ago to be closer to the memory of my dad who passed 25 years ago. As it turned out, it has been a great way to commune with the Father. I like the "offering incense" way of putting it. I have found that when the burdens of the Church...

Is Pear Wood Suitable for Pipes?

Well, that is a nice looking pipe non the less. A local guy carved my BIL a pipe out of apple wood, it is a great little pipe. He really gets the use out of it, he loves it.

How Long Have You Been Smoking Pipes?

Off and on sense about 1980, mostly off. I would go 5 or 6 years between pipes at times. Still go more days without a bowl than with, but started buying pipes and sampling different tobacco's a couple years ago.

I only want one pipe! Problem is I keep buying others looking for it...

    Matches

If I used matches I would recommend people buy stock in a match company. Just too many relights for me. Plus you gotta find a place to dispose of the spent stick. What do you guys do there?

    Global warming, why yes please!

Been a great couple of days here in Southern Indiana also. But I'm sure its just the calm before the winter storm. I got my motorcycle out Saturday, boy was it nice. Sure gonna need a cleaning, but it was worth it.
