    New Boswell, tight stem

Thanks for the quick replies! I'm really concerned with the stem not grabbing until the last 1/4 of the tenon. I'm afraid if I loosen or lubricate the tight part of the tenon, there won't be enough "grab" to hold the stem in place. Then again, maybe I'm just paranoid. Jcsnaps, its good to hear...

    New Boswell, tight stem

Ok guys here's one for you: I just purchased my first Boswell pipe and it is absolutely beautiful. However, the stem fits kind of weird. Figure the part of the stem that goes into the shank of the pipe is about 3/4" long. For the first 1/2" it's loose as can be, as in there's absolutely no...

First PAD trigger for 2011-- whats yours?

Thanks guys! I haven't gotten a chance to smoke it yet. Hopefully I will a little later tonight.

First PAD trigger for 2011-- whats yours?

Do it! I didn't even smoke this yet and it's already worth the $75 just looking at it.

First PAD trigger for 2011-- whats yours?

I guess I'll join. Just received my first Boswell. Everyone always talks about their wonderful customer service and their high-quality pipes and tobacco, and they're damn right. This thing is beautiful. After e-mailing back and forth with Dan, he helped me pick this pipe out and I could not be...

So you really can't cellar an aeromatic??

You can put it in a mason jar, but chances are it won't age like a Virginia would. This is due to the added casing on the tobacco. It kills off most of the good bacteria that is necessary for the tobacco to age. Some do claim that certain aro's do age slightly. These aro's are usually very high...

    Pipe on the homepage

Kevin, I know I'm asking a lot and maybe even being lazy, but what is the series and shape of that pipe? Thanks!

    Pipe on the homepage

Anyone know who makes the dark, bent pipe in the picture for Mr. Pease's "Making it Real" article? It's beautiful and I want one.

    zippo lighter question

I use a butane insert in mine. http://cgi.ebay.com/KGM-Vector-Butane-Flip-Top-PIPE-Lighter-Insert-/400122819946?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d292db56a I've only got to use it a few times but I love it. Never have to worry about the fluid evaporating if you don't use it often.

    The Game of Love

Yeah I noticed that too. I would imagine it's one of those videos where they only have one shot because of the amount of people. If you notice at 1:01 carter (the drummer) messes up when he comes in. To me, it's completely understandable. Being a drummer myself, I know first hand that you will...

    The Game of Love

Though I am not a fan of Santana, I completely appreciate his ridiculous skills on the guitar. I don't know how you guys feel about DMB, but this video really shows how passionate people can be about music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD9CrZODlNA

    My TAD order from Boswell

I smoked some Christmas Cookie last night. One of my buddies said it smelled like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. This is good stuff.

    Torque

For the 21 years I've been obsessed with cars, this has been one of the hardest things to explain to someone. To simplify it greatly, think of torque strictly as "force". Think about how a torque wrench works; it requires so many pounds to "force" the nut or bolt into place. Horsepower is the...

    My TAD order from Boswell

I think I spent more time with my nose in the Berry Cobbler than I did putting them all into jars. Man that stuff smells like a pie.

    Soon to be pipe smoker!

Welcome man! You came to the right place. Seem's like there's more and more of us young smokers here recently (I'm 21). Start with a cheap pipe first, like a cheap briar or if you have them over there a corncob. Make sure you like smoking a pipe first before you invest in a Peterson. Good luck!

    My TAD order from Boswell

I've never been this excited over a bunch of dried leaves before.
