    Raving About 1Q

CBW was one of those tobaccos i could taste something metal-like in. It felt thin and left a weird film more then a taste in my mouth. Re-reading that it sounds snobbish, but even if it was $20 bucks a oz I'd say the same thing. 1Q doesn't have the same metal taste to me, but has zero...

    Tobacco to be Banned?

I don't have a cellar yet. My wife tends to horde food because she's scared of a zombie apocalypse or some such nonsense. I'll have to knife fight her for a pantry wall of my own.

    Jobs

Amen papipeguy. My first job was working for my father and he rode me like a borrowed mule. I couldn't do anything right, but when I got older I knew he was harder on me then any of his other employees because he had to be. From that I took away that he respected his position, his other...

    Tobacco to be Banned?

I read this because I thought it was matching tobbaco brands to music bands. Haha. I plan on being dead by 2050.

    Just Placed a TAD Order

The vanilla cream....it is subtle. For me its more cream then a heavy vanilla casing. The vanilla is in there but it doesnt jump out and smash you in the head IMO. I think its a nice gentle smoke with very little after taste. I rubbed mine out, but plan on folding it next time. Its not...

    Pairing your pipe with...

I've been looking for smoking to pair with gin. I drink Tanq 10 straight and Bombay Sapphire w/ tonic. I can't visualize anything going well with it since gin tends to dry my mouth out a bit. Suggestions?

    Pairing your pipe with...

I like VaPers with black coffee. But then I like everything with coffee. Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Flake tastes heavenly with bourbon.

What Are You Smoking - September 2012

More Louisiana Red in my Peterson xl315 with a glass (or two) of Jack Daniels Single Barrel. I don't even remember where I got the JD from.

    Why the pipe?

I lived with my grandparents for a year while growing up and my grandfather smoked a pipe. Being about 8 I followed my grandfather everywhere. If he was fishing I was fishing, if he was siphoning wine I was siphoning wine, if he was drinking gin martinis I was drinking Shirley temples. The man...

    Blowing Off Some Steam.

Griz, I talked to one of our son's therapists and she mentioned that, without knowing specifics, looking into the school offered speech therapy was probably the best option. Best wishes.

    Noob Pipe Question

Hey welcome aboard. Being a new pipe smoker this is what I found out worked for me. 1. I focused on what type of tobaccos I liked the best. Pipes are fantastic delivery systems and I do believe that the pipes quality (not always cost) has a lot to do with your smoking experience. However...

    Blowing Off Some Steam.

Hey Grizz. I don't know the particular laws about where you live, but 3 is a tough age to deal with speech therapy without paying out of your pocket. One option may be to find out if you have a First Steps program in your state, and while your son is probably too old to receive their help they...

    First Time Grilling

Thanks Dale, now I'm hungry. This site always makes me want to to smoke, drink, and eat. That's pretty much my "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs."
