    Women Pipe Smokers

Welcome Blue and Seamus. I've seen more women smoke cigars then pipes. Now that I think of it I've only seen one woman who dipped. Miss Ada I always called her even though she's a great great grandma. She was good people. She was fond of feeding people or threatening to shoot them...

Hinting for a Pipe for Xmas

Ha Top. My lovely wife bought me a gorgeous new pipe rack because she was sick of my pipe clutter on my bar cabinet. I'm going to start leaving around pipe parts next, maybe she'll buy me some new pipes. Ha.

Troll Hunter! - and other Netflix finds...

Bug. Yes it is. It was adapted from a play iirc. I can't remember if I watched it on Netflix, thought I did. Devil's Double is the supposedly true life story of Uday Hussein's body double. If half of it is true then it's pretty interesting in a semi-disturbing way. Gah I can't think of...

I cant smell or taste the aromatics : (

+1 to Hans. Along those lines, snork some smoke out of your nose. It adds a roundness to the whole experience. You'll pick up different nuances of the tobacco. Nothing like a little Perique out of your nose in the morning to wake you up.

Troll Hunter! - and other Netflix finds...

I was going to suggest Oldboy. If you can get the disc it's much better with subtitles IMO. (and I'm not a film snob) Is Bug on there? I remember being pleasantly surprised about that one but I like Michael Shannon. Snap. I also enjoyed "The Devil's Double." I'd get chills sometimes when...

    Cherry Blends

I'm note big on cherrys in general but I tried Boswell's Bear Blend on a whim a few months ago. It wasn't what I was looking for but I didn't think it was all that bad. http://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend_detail.cfm?ALPHA=B&TID=3010 Oh and BTW Lane is giving away free samples if you want to try...

My New Friends at Two Friends

What a good looking pipe. I hope you enjoy it. Roth is always good for spending other peoples money isn't he? Between him and Harris I swear... Kidding.

    Newbie Questions

Welcome aboard! A tip I'd give you is to learn about tobacco. Tobacco tobacco tobacco. The types, the curing methods, the blends. Then move onto packing methods. I can screw up a bowl of my favorite tobacco just by doing a lousy packing job. Getting your packing method down will increase...

Nice. I raise a virtual pint with you guys from Indiana. Good on you for your efforts.

    Meerschaum Availability?

Going farther then that. I'm sure there's more naturally occurring somewhere, but I wonder about the feasibility of "harvesting" new material. I'm not a business man, but the meerschuem market can't be in excellent shape if it's true that the carver occupation isn't being replenished. It's...

Another awesome new Pipe Experience from Noob

Good stuff. It sounds horrible but I actually find myself taking my kids for more walks since I started smoking a pipe. Heck I even hang out with the dogs more. I really enjoy the "centered" feeling pipe smoking brings me. Most my life I've felt out of sync with the world, and this hobby...
