There shouldn't be any wax or stain in the chamber of the pipe. So you wouldn't taste anything of the sort? Feel free to correct me but that's IMO.- mrgunnar177

Well I actually got 6 pipes they were given to me as a gift to get me started, they were alright pipes. Nothing great though. and Iv given most of them away to friends toget them started in pipe smoking. But the first pipe I bought for myself was my graduation present a Peterson smooth...- mrgunnar177

I have a nice stanwell that's sandblasted and it smokes great. Also have a couple smooth Pete's that smoke great as well (all around the same price range of $100)- mrgunnar177
