    Shipping from Tekin

So I have had hit or miss contact with Tekin at the Tekinmeer website, Etsy, and meershchaumstore. They were: responsive on Etsy, unresponsive on the Tekinmeer website, unresponsive on the meershchaumstore email page, and responsive via Whatsapp. I don't know who runs their contact page(s)...

To Cut or Not to Cut? (Threaded Stinger)

Ok after taking another look it is probably pressed meer. But now I'm justified in getting a piece from a real carver.

To Cut or Not to Cut? (Threaded Stinger)

If the "lick test" is any testament, it would seem to be block. And the coloring seems significant in my one day of use. There's a Tekin I'd like to buy and I wanted to make sure meer was for me first, so I'm not mad at the $30 it took to get this pipe. I like it. I do not see any stamps on...

To Cut or Not to Cut? (Threaded Stinger)

It really is interesting! How did they manage to make that cut!!?? Someone must have been very conflicted to make that cut and leave the stinger-end. Good to hear from you BL. I am not concerned with the resale value, I just want the darn thing to smoke a little better. So just to be clear...

To Cut or Not to Cut? (Threaded Stinger)

Hey all, I just want to see what the consensus is on these threaded stingers. This one is in an estate/ebay meerschaum. The airflow is restricted, but, certainly, still enjoyable. At this point the pipe needs to be separated to be cleaned. This is cumbersome because I will likely pack 2-3...

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

Where would you suggest I apply the acrylic? On After cleaning out the (completely filthy( mortise, the gap closes half a hair more. I suppose I should have inspected the pipe before smoking to rule out user error. Anyway, thanks guys. It smokes fine and I haven't got any leaks in the past few...

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

See post #12. On the underside. It's not that significant. I'm smoking the pipe as I write to you now.

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

As promised here are the pictures. The neighbor kids are off school and they're playing in the snow right by the road just like my brother and I used to 20 years ago. It's a dark plug kind of day. Cheers to everyone shoveling with me.

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

It looks the same to me. What do you mean by that? Will send pics when I'm ready to brave the Cold.

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

I understand. Im still a noob with briar, but I won't be cheap on my next pipe purchase. I'd rather have less great pipes than more so-so pipes.

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

Ah. The PC warranty does not cover stems, even though I am within 30 days of use. I will avoid Baraccini products going forward, but their Filo Rosso is my favorite briar thus far. I'll be letting all my pipes cool down thoroughly before cleaning...

    I Did the Twist

I have read the rules. I need to be a member for at least four months, and I am not even at one month yet. I don't believe I read about a post limit. After the pipe I just had, I'm gonna need some chocolate. I look forward to reproducing and tweaking this blend. Anyone interested should...

    I Did the Twist

I'm going to have to read the rules on tobacco sharing on here. I'm happy to share. I think I could sell it one day.

    I Did the Twist

Thank you very much! I'm very satisfied with this. For a combination of random leaves I couldn't have asked for more. But it's unique to any cigar or pipe blend I've enjoyed. You've heard correct. This isn't for the faint of heart at all.

    I Did the Twist

Hey guys. I got this thing dry enough to smoke and boy-howdy. This is good. The Rustica and Dark Fired steal the show. The Virginia and Burley even out the sourness of the Rustica. I'd like to get a more Ligero-forward blend because that stuff is chocolatey. Here is a cross section of the twist:

    It's a brand new pipe!

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

The flushness has not changed but I believe I expanded the diameter of the tenon judging by the increased tightness. No moisture escape to speak of. Pretty neat concept.

    Negligence: Is This Repairable?

Hello All. I didn't listen when I was told not to dismantle a pipe while it's hot. Now I'm left with a leaky pipe. Moisture escapes this (picture below) non-flush joint between the stem and shank, and it gets on my hand sometimes. It's a little gross but doesn't take away from the experience...
