    Lets do another tamper trade.

Rusty on my photo uploading skills. Working on it right now. :-)

    Lets do another tamper trade.

For the pipes that you just can't get rid of the ghost in. Use a ghost in them. Not part of the trade. Just getting my skills back. Maybe next time. It needs color. Ok, that turned out dark and small. Let me play around with it and get it brighter and bigger. Improved pic.

    Lets do another tamper trade.

Not sure I'll be in on this one. Work has me out of town all week. Maybe we can get a holiday tamper swap together for the holidays. Need to dust off my carving a little more. Still rusty.

    Lets do another tamper trade.

May join in on the next go round. My whittlin' is a lot rusty. Wish I had access to lathes such as some of you fine gentlemen have. I also need to source some brass shell casings or copper pipe caps. Was playing around today and trying to get my whittlin' back up to par. Can basswood be...

    Need Cheap Smoking Jacket

Smoking jacket? That's what happens when you stand too close to the campfire when hunting, right? I'd just get a nice black uninsulated carhartt vest if I was worried about burns. The heavy canvas would prevent burns and not be too hot in theory.

Everyday Carry Knife - What Do You Carry?

Well, usually a SAK and a Leatherman. But, today I have a Browning liner lock clipped to my pocket and a handmade fixed blade in a self made pink Kydex sheath I finished today. Decided to put it on and see how the sheath rides and if it is comfortable riding where I decided to set it. So far...

    Not the lighter I expected...

Flint replacement looks pretty easy. So far, I haven't used it much. Only opened the box this morning. But, I like the size of this lighter. It will sit flatter than a Zippo in the pocket. Seems to be a well made and designed lighter. Love the thumb wheel. Effortless to light.

    Not the lighter I expected...

I am very pleased with the lighter. Was expecting the Villiger from the calendar. When the order was taking longer than expected I thought maybe they had a out of stock and were waiting on the resupply. Then I get the Colibri in its place and am very pleased. I have dealt with them before on...

    Not the lighter I expected...

Ok, I orderd the P&C February tobacco special the end of February. Well, I started work last Monday and the package came in while I was working. Get home late Friday night and open my package first thing this morning and there are my two Villiger tins and a lighter. Only thing is, it's not...

    John Middletons Apple

I didn't get the apple flavor, more of the aroma. But, my taste is off. Wife smells the apple so I guess its ok. lol. If she is happy........... I didn't have any harshness or bite with it. Thought it had a sweet taste. Like I was saying in your other thread, go into TinderBox in...

    Issues Finding Pipe Tobacco Locally

TInderbox Tinderbox is a chain tobacco store in the states. There is one here in Salt Lake City and most major cities have them. Last time I was in the one here, I was impressed by the variety of products they have for the cigar and pipe smoker. But, then I found this site and all its...

Change the green to sweet and some Frog in my favorite pipe and I'll join you.

    John Middletons Apple

Tried it. Not bad. Wife loves the smell so if we are sitting outside together I'll load a bowl of it so she can enjoy the smell. I wasn't too impressed, but I will keep a pouch around for her enjoyment. She won't smoke a pipe, but loves the smell of Apple. Her dad used to smoke it if I get...

    What's your favorite beer?

Stella is good. Boddingtons on occasion. Modelo if I want a mexican style beer. Schwarzbier when I want something a little different. Schwarzbier comes with a wire bail cap instead of a cork or cap. If i want something a little sweeter, I will get a Lambic, usually Lindeman's Framboise, its...

    Maybe a photo

The pipe is on the back porch in the shade with a tall glass of sweet tea. After all, looks to be middle of the day by the shadows under the trees. Nice house.

    Trying new music

New as in just released or something we have never listened to before? Haven't listened to too much just released stuff, but I like to just randomly pick songs out that pop up on the Tube while watching a video. Stuff that they recommend along the genre I was listening to originally. Currently...

    Need help with a Falcon

A lot of hobby/craft stores carry small diameter aluminum or brass tubing. Especially hobby shops that cater to RC aircraft. I have seen tubing similar in size to a falcon stem there. Its just plain with no spiral or anything.

    What is your Iconic Pipe?

When I think of a pipe, I think of grandpa sitting at the kitchen table with his pipe and a cup of black coffee. I vaguely remember the pipe and would love to find it. I think a cousin has it and I am trying to get a picture of it at least to try and find a duplicate. Being a farmer I'm sure...
